It's difficult to teach the importance and traditions of the family when such confusion is thrust
upon them. The gay lifestyle is not something to be encouraged, as a lot of research shows it leads
to a much lower life expectancy, psychological disorders, and other problems. Studies show that
homosexuals, for a variety of reasons, have life expectancies of approximately 20 years less than the
general population. Just like a lifestyle of smoking and drinking unhealthy lifestyles should be

Same Sex Marriage also known as gay marriage or equal marriage it is marriage between two
persons of the same biological sex or gender identity. In the 20th and 21st centuries various types of

We made by God to glorify Him and to do of His will not to do what we wanted because more of
the time what we wanted are not suppose to do. Also, the Pro says that they have the right to be
married. Yes, it is right that marriage is a personal choice but it does not mean that you are able
to be married with your same sex and not considering the laws of God about marriage because it
is the Sacraments of Matrimony so it is sacred and Holy. The next one is they have said that it is
a discrimination part to them if it will not be allowed but not legalizing the same sex marriage
proposal does not mean gays and lesbian are being discriminated it is just their decision is not
acceptable with God and also in the Christian country like Philippines that's why same sex
marriage in the Philippines cannot be approved or be legalized in our country. In addition, there are
four other reasons why it should not be legalized in the Philippines. First, because Gay/Lesbian
marriage violates traditions; Secondly, Gay/Lesbian couples can't produce children; thirdly, having a
mom and a dad is better for children than having two moms or two dads and the last one is
homosexual behavior is immoral and should not be encouraged.

those same woman want to make a commitment to each other it is then deemed unacceptable. Why
should society be able to dictate who gets to marry whom, and how they get to live their lives? A
traditional marriage is between a man and a woman, if a gay person were to get married; someone
that is opposed to it could say that they will devalue the meaning of marriage. If two females are
inmate with each other people tend to think that it is arousing, however if those same to females
want to have a commitment with each other it is then deemed unacceptable. In an article written
by ProCon.Org they stated that, "In the Oct. 15, 1971 decision Baker v. Nelson, the Supreme
Court of Minnesota found that "The institution of marriage as a union of man and woman,
uniquely involving the procreation and rearing of children within a family, is as old as the book
of Genesis." (ProCon.Org, 2013) a traditional marriage is supposed to be between a man and
woman however, with it being the 20th century the times have changed and a marriage should be
based on the love the two people share, and what gender they are. Gay couples should have the
same benefits as heterosexual couples. According to an article written by Jessica Madrid,
Stephen Rice, "cynical attitudes were considered to be those that leaned towards reasons
involving monetary advantages, spousal benefits, increased ease of business transactions, and so
forth." (Madrid & Rice, 2013) A heterosexual married couple is able to obtain certain benefits such
as health care through cobra if one spouse loses a job, claiming a tax exemption for a spouse,
receiving social security payments from a deceased spouse, also having certain rights when it
comes to a hospital when a spouse is ill. A gay couple
