Classification and Division Essay: Types of High School Students
Division is the process of breaking a whole into parts, and classification is the process of sorting
individual items into categories. In high school you can usually divide students into two main parts:
popular and unpopular. These two main parts can be classified into many categories. The "popular"
students would be classified as the jocks and cheerleaders. The "unpopular" kids would be classified
as the band/guard students and theater geeks. Jocks are the students that excel in sports. In our area,
Southeast Texas, football is normally the sport to play, for it gathers the biggest crowd. Once you
make varsity for football you are basically handed a golden ticket to...show more content...
People tend to think that band and guard is a waste of time and that it is a joke because they don't
anything that is worthy of anyone's time. People also don't like band because of the things we have
to wear: the uniform, hat, etc.
The theater geeks are also considered to be "unpopular" kids because they "act weird," as many
people say. The thing with theater geeks is that they aren't afraid to be themselves even if they will
be judged. The "popular" people typically care what everyone thinks of them so they try to conform
to the acceptances of the people while the theater geeks simply do not care. Theater people are also,
usually, louder than most other people, so people tend to think that the theater geeks look dumb. The
types of high school students can be divided into two groups: popular and unpopular. These groups
can then be broken down into more specific classifications: jocks, cheerleaders, band/guard
members, and the theater geeks. Though I believe that there is no such thing as "popularity" most
schools' students can be placed in any of the divisions and classifications as listed

English 2 Explaining by analyzing: Classification and division Analyzing means looking closely
at the parts of an object or group. To analyze a single object, such as the human body, you divide it
into its parts, such as the heart, the brain, the stomach, and the liver. To analyze a group of objects
or persons, you divide and classify them, cutting one group into two or more smaller groups. To
analyze the American people, for instance, you could divide and classify them in political categories
such as voters and nonvoters, in ethnic groups (such as Italian, Hispanic, and African American), or
in regional groups (such as Northerners and southerners). In so doing, you would be using

almost all indoor public places in New York State starting next month, it is vital that everyone
understand the different emotional states cessation of smoking can cause. I have observed four of
them; and in the interest of science I have classified them as those of the zealot, the evangelist, the

Being a student in today's society holds an immense amount of pressure to do one thing: graduate.
Thirteen years of school prepare students for the next major steps of their lives. Every student faces
many struggles and frustrations before graduation day arrives. One may be able to surmise a few
details about a student before they put pencil to paper or even speak. One can also make assumptions
about a student based on his or her seating position. Motivation, determination, and concentration
will establish a student's amount of success. The three categories of high school students are
underachievers, average students, and overachievers.

Wikipedia is among the greatest inventions of all time, while turnitin.com is not. Students who
contain these characteristics make up the most common category.
The final group of students are the overachievers. They sit prim and proper in the front row raising
their eager hands. These workaholics are the ones whom teachers adore and whom fellow students
despise. They often exceed the expectations of any teachers. They constantly work hard and are
active in class. They take notes verbatim of what the teacher says, excel in group discussions, and
much to the demise of the other students, raise the academic bar to an unattainable level. Although
they are not often the greatest athletes, or the best at communicating with the opposite gender, they
separate themselves with their cerebral work ethic. These scholars find reading entertaining, and
would much rather solve a Rubik's cube than run a mile. One of them will be inevitably become

students, one could be looking at future doctors, engineers, and various activists.

Cabinet Classification Classification and division occur everywhere we look. Almost every single
thing belongs to some department or group, and maybe even more than just one. I am part of a
division myself; I am a year two at Butler Community College. Like the classes in the Academy, I
like to organize things in my home. Between all the different groups of belongings in my home, I
place things specifically based on their classification. At home I drink hot tea often and other warm
drinks like hot chocolate and occasionally coffee. I have placed my cups and mugs in a specific
order in the cabinet based on my preference. I have noticed that my order was determined by how
much I like the cup or glass. There are three shelves in the cabinet with the cups and glasses. On
the very top shelf the plastic cups and other cups we have saved from events are stored. I have one
cup at the front of the top that is plastic. If you push the button on the bottom of the cup it starts to

looked into the cabinet I noticed none of the glasses were missing and they were all clean. I
figured that was because glasses break easier and it is more of a special thing to use a glass for
me and I learned that from the only other person in my home, my mom. I thought about how I do

In high school basketball, there are many different types of referees. These refs can help, or
hinder, a team to win. They need to keep the game clean and fair, but sometimes fail at their

Old Timer." This referee is extremely easy to spot. He is strict, clean cut, and well, old. He thinks
that he knows every last rule about the game of basketball, and to prove this he is nit–picky when

16. Essay about Three Types of Happiness
"Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual
experience of living every minute with love, grace and gratitude." –– Denis Waitley
Many people believe that happiness is simply a state of well being; to me, happiness is much more
complex. Absolute happiness is anything that brings feelings of pure bliss to an individual's life.
One can gain happiness from simple pleasures of life, such as receiving a kiss from a three–year old,
to advanced pleasures, such as a happy marriage or a successful career. Dr. Seligman, a well known
psychologist and proponent of positive psychology, identified three types of happiness: pleasant life,

me happier.
According to Seligman, the final form of happiness, "pleasant life" happiness, is considered a
short cut to happiness, and not as significant as "engaged life" or "meaningful life" happiness.
"Pleasant life" happiness is defined as simplistic events that bring pleasure to oneself. Contrary to
Seligman's belief, it is my notion that "pleasant life" happiness is equivalent to both "engaged
life" and "meaningful life" happiness. For example, every summer my family and I go

How different we are! We deal with different people. These people can be our neighbors, class
fellows, our friends or they can be our roommates. If I speak about my roommates, first I will
categorize them into different groups. However roommates include people or students who come
from different places, provinces or even from different countries so in this case they are
categorized into various divisions. Generally in my point of view, roommates are classified into

Roommates in this kind are reliable, sometimes joking, not too much speaking, and a little bit
serious. They don't like to joke too much or if you joke with them, they will get serious soon. They
are irascible in joking so you always cannot be kidding with them.
As I said, interestingly, in our dormitory the only room which has different kinds of roommates is
our room. It is such that other students call our room as "room of diversity". It's the name that
they ascribed to us because we have almost all categories of roommates from different provinces
with various nationalities. For instance, Sebqatulla one of my roommates is from Herat. Due to
having some described characteristics of this class, he fits in the second category. He is serious
when we speak to him with a serious tone and he is witty and joking when we do so. In a single
word he, adjusts and fits himself in the any environment he locates.
Another kind of roommates is conservative roommates. They are so careful about their relations
with other people and students. Especially they care how to behave with their roommates.
Roommates who include in this category are conservative and much cautious in terms of how to get

category of roommates. I am not that good a joker and get serious soon that is why my roommates

Performing three different sports each year in high school, I notice all types of people that come

The first group mentioned, the attention–getters always bring a show of their own. These fans stir

Why should we accept the labels that have been presented to us by others? Society enjoys
defining us by the mistakes we have made and by our weaknesses, instead of recognizing our
strengths and our talents. Too often in life, the accomplishments that we achieve are belittled by

they become best friends. Some people become best friends because they have the same trials and
they help one another by offering each other advice, which allows them to grow closer. Some
