ï Sony Corporation commonly referred to as Sony, is a

ï Sony's latest console, the PlayStation 3, was released in 2006 has sold over 80 million
consoles worldwide. The PlayStation 3 has been produced in various models: the original,
the Slim, and the Super Slim. The PS3 officially went on sale in India on 27 April 2007,
priced at Rs. 39,990 ($1000 at the conversion rate that time) for the 60 GB version.
ï The PlayStation 4 (PS4) is an upcoming video game console from Sony Computer
Entertainment announced at a press conference on February 20, 2013.
4. Microsoft Xbox 360
ï Microsoft Corporation is an American multinational software corporation headquartered
in Redmond, Washington that develops, manufactures, licenses, and supports a wide
range of products and services related to computing. The company was founded by Bill
Gates and Paul Allen on April 4, 1975. Microsoft is the world's largest software
maker measured by revenues. It is also one of the world's most valuable companies.
ï The Xbox 360 is the second video game console developed by and produced
for Microsoft and the successor to the Xbox. The Xbox 360 competes
with Sony's PlayStation 3 and Nintendo's Wii as part of the seventh generation of video
game consoles. As of June 30, 2013, 78.2 million Xbox 360 consoles have been sold
worldwide. The Xbox 360 was released on November 22, 2005, in the United States and
Canada.

ï A questionnaire was prepared of two brands using
different commonly known variables.
ï People were asked to rate the brands on a scale of 1 to 5
(1 being the lowest and 5 highest.)
ï Each member had 10 people to ask and hence the
sample size taken into consideration was 50.

ï The conclusion so drawn from the data was that both the
gaming consoles are rated differently on the basis of
different variables. So it can be concluded, that depending
on customers priority for a particular variable the person
could pick up his favoured console.
