3. The project aims to teach students how to protect themselves, connect with others online, learn through the internet, and use the web for future work and publishing opportunities, while being aware of their public digital image.
20. We hope you leave today feeling encouraged and inspired to explore the fantastic learning tools and professional opportunities available online. We also encourage you to stay informed so that you can learn, work and publish wisely online as you expand your potential as future leaders. Thank you for participating. Social media has been playing a very important role in the Iran situation. 1. It has helped Iranians communicate with each other. 2. It has helped Iranians communicate with the outside world. 3. It has helped the rest of the world communicate with both Iranians and others who sympathize with the protesters. For example, YouTube and Flickr have brought multimedia out of the distressed country. Twitter and Facebook updates have spread videos virally. Blogs, Wikipedia, and citizen journalism have helped disseminate and filter this information.
