Client is the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to curing leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improving the
quality of life of patients and their families. The organization funds lifesaving blood cancer research and provides free information and support services.
They run the world’s largest endurance sports training program, preparing people of all athletic abilities. In return for professional training and travel to
one of many national event sites, participants raise valuable funds to support the mission.
The Business Challenges
• With growing number of users and technology advancements, the client’s legacy applications needed a technology upgrade that tightly integrated
with their existing backend
• To cater new geographies the client needed a multilingual web presence
• Third party software used for campaign creation and management was expensive, rigid and could not integrated well with the client’s existing
campaign applications
• To capture Events Data etc. from central DB
• Enhance applications to add various new features
Diaspark’s Solution
The client desired to redesign their CMS using Drupal 7, and to integrate existing applications and the Database to capture Events Data etc. from the
central DB. Diaspark built the new web based application on Apache, PHP and MySQL using the Drupal content management system. The complete
website is bilingual, operating system independent and accessible with any standard compliant browser. Communication of data is through APIs or Web
services in XML. Drupal manages the data.
