5. Discussion Posts
General requirements (10% of the total points are deducted for each of themissing general requirements)
The initial post includes at least one reference at the end of the post.
(textand/or outside scholarly reference-NOT wiki’s or blogs). The initial response to the question is posted by Wed. of the week.
The postings are quality and contain 125-150 words for the response (thenanother 125-150 words for part two where there are two
parts to a discussionquestion).
Postings have no grammatical errors or typos.
Responds to additional questions posted for the student by Sun. of the week. Responds to one to two peers (whichever
is indicated) by Sun. of the week.
Quality posts will contain any one of the following aspects each week:
Postings thoughtfully consider and respond to the discussion prompt, usingsound argumentation and clear
prose. Postings engage with the ongoing conversation and foster further discussion onthe topic. Postings explore new lines of
argument or different perspectives. The post demonstrates a strong grasp of the language, terms and concepts youhave been
exposed to so far over the course. The post is proof that you are facilitating learning both for yourself and yourfellow
students. The post provides specific examples to augment views expressed. The post includes analysis of the information
presented: e.g. advantages, disadvantages, comparison, contrast, implications, or significance of theinformation to nursing
practice. Avoid copy/paste and minimized quotes, but rather use student’s own words
6. CIS enhancement Phase One Paper

Introduction - a paragraph discussing briefly the organization and the current purpose of the CIS system that will be enhanced.
Each of the bold items below are required report headings in bold font.
Describe the CIS Gap - a paragraph describing the gap to be filled by the enhancement.
User - briefly describe the users of the CIS system that will be impacted by the enhancement. Include the number of users, frequency of use of the CIS, and the impact the gap presents for
current users.
Impact to Users if Gap Filled - briefly describe the impact to users if the CIS enhancement is completed and the gap is filled.
SWOT Analysis - insert a SWOT Analysis grid and briefly summarize the findings as related to the CIS enhancement.
Benefit/Risks Analysis - briefly the benefits to the organization of doing the project and risks of not doing to project.
Outcome Verification - briefly describe how you will verify that the enhancement met the initial objectives. Discuss if the verification will be objective or subjective.
This may relate back to your workflow analysis in Week 6. Determine if the enhancement will impact user efficiency, quality, data integrity etc. and discuss the verification process.
Summary - briefly summarize your request for enhancement highlighting the main issues noted in the proposal.

Basic Timeline for each Phase of the Project - briefly describe the timeline for the project and include a visual graph or table to summarize the proposed timeline.
Design:
Human Technology Interface - briefly discuss any impact or changes in human technology interface
Functional Requirements - briefly list the elements the enhancement is expected to accomplish (Example: As a user I want the initial computer system log-in to automatically log me into
the CIS without using a separate log-in for each application.) In the functional requirement s include 3 Just-in-time learning features. (Example: As a user if I exit a screen without
saving I want a window to pop-up asking if I want to save my changes before the screen is exited and the data is lost.)
Implement:
