As we entered the Sonoma Valley on a late September afternoon, our daughter, Kenna, asked if she could
drive. The setting sun cast long shadows across route 121. The yellow line of the golden grasses glowed below
the violet hills. Kenna attended to the double yellow line. She gave me freedom to enjoy the beauty of the sun’s
glow upon the land.

By late summer the sun has dried the grasses Naples Yellow. How perfectly they complement our blue violet
mountains and roads.
