EBSI European Blockchain Services Infrastructure
(EBSI) - Connecting Romania through Blockchain
Connecting Europe Facility 2014-2020 CEF Telecom
The central scope of the project “Connecting Romania through Blockchain” is to create an extendable and sustainable ecosystem to
facilitate and accelerate the awareness, knowledge and adoption of the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI) by the
Romanian citizens, businesses, institutions and administration.
The main objectives of the projects are:
ü to set up the first EBSI node in Romania, functional and integrated with the EBSI network and operations;
ü to deploy the Diplomas’ use-case, by developing applications and services for digital credentials and micro-credentials, integrated
with the (Single) National Student Enrolment Registry of students;
ü to support capacity building and training activities for universities, institutions and companies, targeting a broader uptake of the EBSI
by public and private services.
The Romanian EBSI node will be set up, operational and integrated with the EBSI.

üThe objectives of the MODE IT project are:
1. to boost HEI educators' awareness and skills for MOOCs design and delivery;
2. to develop innovative MOOCs-based instructional approaches for curriculum design;
3. to raise awareness of learners for and improve their learning experiences through MOOCs.

Development of the self-assessment tool
The self-assessment tool is allowing teaching staff at higher education institutions to assess their competence level in the design and
development of MOOCs and to get immediate feedback for possible improvements.
A total of 27 pedagogical and technical competencies in 5 areas
1. Pedagogical competences for designing student-centred learning (e.g., activity- / competence- based learning)
2. MOOCs specific competences (e.g., assessment of large groups, learner motivation)
3. Technology-related competences (e.g., online communication, learner analytics)
4. Competences related to the theoretical foundations of MOOCs (e.g., independent learning, openness)
5. Competences about MOOC integration into formal learning (e.g., integration into a course, peer support among instructors)

EBSI European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI) - Connecting Romania through Blockchain Connecting Europe Facility 2014-2020 CEF Telecom The central scope of the project “Connecting Romania through Blockchain” is to create an extendable and sustainable ecosystem to facilitate and accelerate the awareness, knowledge and adoption of the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI) by the Romanian citizens, businesses, institutions and administration. The main objectives of the projects are: ü to set up the first EBSI node in Romania, functional and integrated with the EBSI network and operations; ü to deploy the Diplomas’ use-case, by developing applications and services for digital credentials and micro-credentials, integrated with the (Single) National Student Enrolment Registry of students; ü to support capacity building and training activities for universities, institutions and companies, targeting a broader uptake of the EBSI by public and private services. Development of the self-assessment tool The self-assessment tool is allowing teaching staff at higher education institutions to assess their competence level in the design and development of MOOCs and to get immediate feedback for possible improvements. A total of 27 pedagogical and technical competencies in 5 areas 1. Pedagogical competences for designing student-centred learning (e.g., activity- / competence- based learning) 2. MOOCs specific competences (e.g., assessment of large groups, learner motivation) 3. Technology-related competences (e.g., online communication, learner analytics) 4. Competences related to the theoretical foundations of MOOCs (e.g., independent learning, openness) 5.
