2. • Animals like to live in an
environment where they can
find food, water and shelter.
• Some animals need special
environments.
• For example: a. Fish need to
live in water, b. Earthworms
need soil because they live
underground.
• The conditions in the
environment affect which
animals can live there.

3. • An animal can only survive in an environment that has what it
needs.
• An environment is unsuitable if it does not meet the animal’s
needs.
• Picture A: Mountain goat has short, curved and black horns.
The edges of the nails are sharp, covering the soft palm on the
inside. These nails can grip the rock.
• Picture B: Desert lizard uses its entire skin to absorb water
from the wet sand. Because it lives in the desert.

4. • The conditions of the environment that those animals
have such as : hot, dry and rocky environment.
• Those conditions also will affect to some part body or
habitually live that these animals have, for example
birds are having different kinds of beak’s shape to
adjust with the food they have.
