A presentation of the results of the questionnaire about how much people know about deadly diseases. It is made for the eTwinning project Deadly Duseases, school year 2014-2015.

2. Wewanted to find out how much
people knew about the diseases
we were working on and asked
friends and relatives to answer
ourquestionnaire. We got 141
answersand were happy to find
out that most people knew about
the diseases and they also knew
how to protect themselves
against them.

3. Most of the people that answered our questionnaire were female.

4. Almost 70 % were younger than 21 years old.

5. Almost everybody knew that Ebola first appeared inAfrica.

6. Only 55 % believed that Ebola can be cured.

7. Mostpeopleknew that anorexia nervosa is a
psychologicalillness.

8. Most people knew that young people suffer from
anorexia nervosa.

9. Most people knew that malaria is transmitted by
mosquitoes.

10. 73 % believed that using insect repellents protect people
from malaria. 23 % thought it would be enough to wash
their hands.

11. Most people knew that you can be infected by AIDS
by blood transfusion.

12. Most people knew that using a condom can protect
you from AIDS.

13. Almost everybody knew that tetanus is spread by an
infection of a cut in the skin.

14. Almost everybody knew that tetanus can be
prevented by vaccination.

15. Most people recognized the symptoms of a heart attack.

16. Most people knew that breast cancer can be
diagnosed early.
