This document discusses the past and future of the internet of things over the next 5 years. It describes how connecting everyday objects to the internet allows them to tell stories and share experiences. Examples are given of past IoT projects involving mapping, sharing travel experiences, using public data, and creating interactive narratives. The document predicts that over the next 5 years, focus will increase on health-related wearables, location data may regain importance, and data protection laws will need rewriting to cover connected devices. Stories will be told through IoT in new ways.
