ETHICAL & LEGAL Considerations while implementing projects with
Children
• Take permission from relevant body (School, Family, Community Centre) prior to collecting data for
Baseline Survey or Formative Research
• Anonymise the data soon after collection. Take permission before taking photos and information for
case studies.
• Do not reveal the identity of at-risk children.
• Parental Consent from the child’s parent/guardian mandatory for medical check-up and treatment.
• Share your survey and research findings back with the local community (schools, families, etc) so
they can benefit from what is learned
• Share you POA and Aim of your planned intervention with the responsible person- HM/Parent/ Govt.
body to engage them
