Master Naturalists VMNH a founding partner in the Virginia Master Naturalist Program--a statewide corps of volunteers providing education, stewardship and citizen science dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities. 34. Recent Invertebrates We emphasis freshwater insects and mollusks and the faunas of forest litter (beetles, myriapods, spiders), which are important in the formation of new organic soil. The classification and distribution of millipeds worldwide is a second area of interest.
