and conditions before pressing “CONTINUE”
14. You will be asked to enter a SECURE
CODE.
This code is sent to the e-mail address
you provided. Open your e-mail now
to retrieve the code.
15. Open FSA ID INFORMATION marked “IMPORTANT-
YOUR FSA ID E-MAIL VALIDATION”
17. Enter the code from your e-mail into
the Secure Code area and press
“CONTINUE”.
18. You have successfully created your FSA ID
DO NOT return to the FSA ID log-in page.
Close the FSA ID page.
19. Return to the FAFSA website and enter
your new USERNAME and PASSWORD.
20. What if my FSA ID is disabled or
locked?
• If your FSA ID has been locked you can update your FSA
ID to unlock your account.
• If you have an FSA ID but do not remember your
username, click Forgot Username.
• If you have an FSA ID but do not remember your
password, click Forgot Password.
• Note: The password must be between 8 to 30 characters
long. You can use any combination of numbers,
uppercase and lowercase letters, and / or special
characters.
