Work Experience
1997-now Founder and Executive Director, Imagine Art
Established as a grassroots organization advocating for artists with disabilities. Serving as
the visionary, community organizer and developer for Imagine Art. Providing direct
services for artists in small business development, advocacy, person-centered planning
and leadership development.
1992-1997 Employment Specialist, Independent Contractor
Self employed consultant that worked with various organizations to provide employment services
for people with disabilities; ARCIL, Goodwill, United Cerebral Palsy, the Department of Assistive
and Rehabilitative Services and Imagine Enterprises. Provided person centered planning and
facilitated employment matches. Consulted for small business development. Provided training
and consultation for systems change advocating to reduce sheltered work environments and
establish community based employment programs.
1989-1992 Rehabilitation Specialist, Healthcare Rehabilitation Center
Provided direct care and training to families of people with significant disabilities with the
objective of transitioning the family from institutional care into the community for long term care.
Artistic Endeavors
1997-now Visual Artist, Independent Contractor
• Self taught fine art painter, working in mixed media, exhibiting through Imagine Art.
• Artist In Residency; AISD, Sail Charter School and Benbrook ISD (Dallas, Tx).
• Art Installation, Matthews Elementary with 400 children.
• Designed and implemented ARTWORKS, a 3-day professional development
workshop helping artists to explore the future through visual mapping (hosted by
Museums; AMOM, DMOA, SMOA and HMOA).
