Brief
General Mobile Technology Company, founded on April 2011, focus on mobile
platform operation and mobile Internet service. G-Mobi was invested by the world-leading
mobile chipset designer MediaTek, and has offices in Taipei, Shanghai and Shenzhen. Our
business coverage includes South-East Asia, Africa, India, East Europe and South America
etc..
G-Mobi provides clients with total solution in mobile phone platform and mobile
Internet service, including the development and operation of mobile application store,
technical support of middleware platform, development and technical support of mobile
application, buildup and maintain of statistic servers and billing platform. With abundant
experience in mobile service, G-Mobi can provide high quality and stable services to
clients. The vision of G-Mobi is to build up the largest mobile Internet service platform and
provide superior and diverse services to clients.


Team
G-mobi started up with around 30 staff, the management team is experienced and well aware of VAS
business in oversea market. We are working together to build up a health and profitable VAS ecosystem.
Paul Wu, CEO
Paul Wu is the CEO of General Mobile technology.He was at MediaTek for global internet service development team and help
Honai Foxconn group to acquire mobile internet company while he was there. Before joining Honhai group, Paul was CEO of
PocketNet , a very successful Taiwan based mobile service company , Paul spent three years to turn around the company
from fill bankruptcy to profitable company and win the big service contract from Nokia and HTC. Paul received his MBA
degree from Netherlands RSM business school and the bachelor of NTU Agri-Economics.

Ben Liao, Chief Operating Officer
Ben Liao is in charge of business development and strategic partnership. He was a consultant at McKinsey. At Prolto Supply
Chain Company, he was managing director of innovation department. Before joining GMobi, he was VP of a mobile Internet
company, Digital Grid. Ben Liao received his master degree from Oxford University.

Carlos Hsu, VP of Engineering
Carlos Hsu is in charge of server development. He was an Assistant Manager in R&D department of Taiwan Mobile. Before
joining GMobi, he was the CTO of a mobile content/service provider company Pocketnet.

Jacky Zhang Senior Director of Product/FAE
Jacky Zhang is in charge of product development. He was an CTO for an France based mobile apps company Barefoot in
Paris, France. Before joining GMobi, he was the CTO of a mobile content/service provider company Veximobile.Graduated
from Zhejiang University

Aaron Wang, JV GM
Aaron Wang is in charge of operation and product strategy at our African JV Afmobi. He was former MediaTek MidEast and
Africa manager Before joining MediaTek, he was a of business development manager at NVidea. Aaron Wang received his
master degree of MBA from National Taiwan University.

MRE Introduction
▪ MRE, an abbreviation for Maui Runtime Environment, is a middle ware solution based on MTK. MRE integrates
middle ware engine, SDK and operation support system, providing a package solution to partners. Because MRE
makes a standardized system, API can work simplify for adaptation of applications on different platform versions. Of
course, system upgrading is easier.

Oversea market situation
 Large Shipment Overseas
In 2010, in total MTK phone shipment, nearly 70 percent of that, est. 350 million, was delivered to oversea countries. It’s a
large market to incorporate VAS. MRE is a default middleware platform in MTK phone.

 High Demand of Local Brand
VAS becomes a highlight for a handset model. Local brands are very positive to work with the service providers or other
3rd party to bring more fun to their handsets. What’s more, MRE is the preference on MTK phones.

 Lack of Applications/games Resource
So far, there aren’t many applications and games developed for MTK oversea market. It’s a good opportunity for CP and
SP to enter the market.

 Lack of Expert in Oversea Market
Although the oversea market is very potential, however, due to its complicity, few companies are engaged on only oversea
market.

 Official Support from MTK
MRE is MTK’s global strategy on VAS, the importance of which is greatly raised. MTK will support strongly from both
technique and market.
