• San Antonio resident Dawn Johnson, a former USAA executive, is currently
focusing on charitable pursuits as she prepares to transition into a consulting
career. Alongside her work with the San Antonio Clubhouse, Dawn Johnson
supports the Cancer Council of Reno County.
The Cancer Council of Reno County works to support cancer patients and provide
valuable educational resources to the people of Reno County, Kansas. In addition
to implementing educational campaigns designed to increase awareness and
further prevention efforts, the Cancer Council makes an array of services available
to patients and their families.
People who are living with cancer in the greater Reno County area may be eligible
for financial assistance through the Cancer Council. The organization offers as
much as $25 per day in food allowances when patients are undergoing treatments,
and another $50 per month for cell phone expenses. Patients can also receive
assistance with transportation, medication, lodging, and medical equipment.
The Cancer Council of Reno County also connects patients to support groups and
services from partner organizations in the area.
