        Your app doesn’t have to
        replicate your website.


        Remember where your app
        will be used.


        Create a great user experience
        and your logo will sit on their
        home screen all day.
2– Not having a deïŹned
Repeat after me:
“anyone” isn’t a target.

Build a relationship with
your target prior to the
launch of your application.

Don’t get too attached to your
target, you may have to leave it
for a better one.
3– Trying to out-feature

Keep it simple. It will keep it cheap, too.


Do one thing, and do it really well.


Apple ships phones without instructions.
Can you do the same for your app?
4– Not having a feedback
                Even a single contact form can
                save you tons of 1-star reviews

Make it easy for customers to give you feedback.


Track feedback and comments
on every channel.


Respond to your users ASAP.
5– Not connecting with

Invite them to register or collect e-mails.


Keep your users updated.


Give them good reasons
to come back.
6– Last minute marketing
Think marketing early in the development—if not
before you even start coding your application.


                        Wouldn’t it be cool
                        to have buyers waiting
                        for you instead of you
                        looking for them?

                        Lead generation anyone?
7– Not shipping
Don’t wait until you have all the features ready,
focus on the main function.


Think of your app as
a living experiment.
