i.V. aSSembly equiPment
This equipment is used to assemble the catheter tubing to the molded hub and form the tips. Each machine
requires special tooling for each different size of catheter. The tooling is designed for a specific style of
catheter, and can be designed to any hub desired; standard,
winged, or with ports. flanging/flaRing equipment
• This unit is used to form a flange
or flare on the I.V. tube where it fits
into the molded hub. The flange
or flare is required whether you
ultrasonically weld or insert mold
the two pats together. This system
is a shuttle unit, which uses one
operator to load one side while the
other side is forming.
i.V. tip foRming equipment
• The I.V. Tip forming machine forms
a very precise taper on I.V. Catheter
tubing. The tubes can be formed
after assembly with the hubs or
prior to the assembly. Sizes range
from 26Ga. to 14Ga. or larger. Tube
holding fixtures can accommodate
standard hubs, winged hubs, or
hubs with ports.
