2. Describe your personal learning
preferences
• At the beginning of the class my learning preferences were favored
to visual and sequential and my active and sensual learning were
pretty even. my Scores were 1 for ACT , 1 for INT 5 for VIS and 3 for
SEQ. I thought those scores reflected pretty well on how I prefer to
learn as a person. From the beginning till now, I don’t think my
learning preferences have changed very much. as a person I am still
a visual and sensual learner. However, throughout this course, the
quests and various activities have allowed me to learn try out
different types of learning preferences and i found that active
learning can also be a very effective for me. I think that knowing
what kind of learning preferences a one likes is a very important
step on effective learning. by knowing how you like to treat
information, you can help yourself by making learning a much more
fun and exciting process.

3. Describe the learning pathway you
chose at the beginning of the class
• The path way I choose at the beginning of the class was the learning
Sage. I choose this type of learning because i think it will allow me
to become a better learner by allowing me to try different and new
ways to learn. the subject of Multimedia means using more than
one way to convey the message to the public. By being a learning
sage, I tried to become familiar different types of multimedia tools
such as the TV, internet and mobile devices. throughout this class i
was able to obtain a broader and deeper understanding of
multimedia by completing quests. I have found many new
multimedia tools that i can now use to learn with others from this
class and i hope that even after this class i can continue to broaden
my horizon. at the end of the semester, I still stick with my decision
of being a learning Sage because I still think it fits my learning style
the best.

4. Describe how the activities you completed
contributed or did not contribute to your
learning pathway
• Out of all the multimedia related quests in the class, i don’t think
any of the quests gave me a broader understanding of multimedia.
Before taking this class, i took some other computer sciences
classes and we learned alot about multimedia and computers. Even
though the class gave a lot of insightful information on multimedia,
i did not feel that any of the information was new to me.
Multimedia is a very broad subject and i don't think anyone can
ever say they are done studying it. Multimedia is a ever changing
subject and people must evolve with it to be up to date with today’s
society. The quest that worked best for my learning preferences
was the screencast quest because I am a visual learner. the
screencasts are a great way to be interactive with the subject and a
great way to get some point of view instructions.

5. Top 3 mobile technologies you
explored for learning
• The multimedia quest helped me by giving me a more in depth understand on what exactly
multimedia is. over the past year multimedia has changed from radios to the internet. multimedia
does not only mean movies and videos but can also mean hand painted poster board or the picket
signs made by protesters. I explore the multimedia world every day by going on the computer,
watching TV and reading stuff when i go outside. Multimedia is a great way for people to get their
message out to the world. especially now with the internet connecting us all. Multimedia
accommodates my learning preference because almost anything to do with multimedia involves
visually processing information.
• Podcasts has always been a intriguing topic for me. i have always heard about my friends using
them but i have never used them myself. i went on itunes and downloaded a world of warcraft
podcasts that the WoW developers made to give podcasting a try. Post casting was very convenient
because i can have it on my phone and listen to it whenever i want. the information was pretty
good but it was nothing i wasn't able to find on the internet on my own. I think Podcasts can be a
very effective learning tool. the teacher of a class can release weekly “podcasts” and have their
students listen to them at their convenience. Podcasts fits my learning preferences because it is
sequential. every week you get the next step and a little bit more information.
• I personally think Screencasts is a very effective way to learn. screencasts allows the view to see the
project being done and it also has audio commentary from a teacher. Video games have a lot of
screencasts on youtube now. Im a subscriber to the Day9 weekly and varies world of warcraft raid
guides. i think by watching the world of warcraft guides has help me and my guild a lot when we
are fighting a new boss. we get to see first person point of view on how exactly the boss should be
fought and how each maneuver should be executed. i like this style because i am a visual learner
and screencasts does a very good job on visualizing everything.

6. Use of different multimedia technologies
for learning
• he multimedia tool that i thought was the most interesting was the
podcasts. Before this class i never really used podcasts before. i
would always hear about other people like my friends and other
classmates use them but i have never tried them myself. after
taking this class i realized that podcasts can be a very powerful to
become an more effective learner. Out of all the multimedia tools i
don't think any of them are a bad tool to learn. multimedia is
versatile and can fit pretty much everyone’s learning preferences.
The multimedia tool that worked best for me was the screencast. i
think screencasts are a great way to learn because i am a visual
learner and i want to see something done step by step. in my other
classes i have used screencasts to learn by going on youtube and
finding tutorial videos on how to play a song on the piano or how to
correctly format a excel worksheet. i will further improve my
screencast learning skills by finding more reliable sources of
screencasts and sharing them with my friends and classmates.

7. How I will use what you learned in
this class after this semester
• After this class is over, i will still be learning visually because i learn
best by looking at how something is done. I think that that
multimedia style of learning revolves a lot around visually absorbing
information and learning how to process visual information will be a
great tool when i get a job and in my other classes because you can
only learn so much from a textbook. first hand experience is always
a better learning tool.
• Even before i took this class i have been using Screencasts as a way
to become a better learner. after this class is over, i will continue to
use screencasts to improve my knowledge on subjects that interests
me. youtube is always producing more and more screencast makers
and someday i hope that i can join their ranks and be part of the
screencast making community for video game guides. i don't think
there will be any multimedia tools that im going to be avoiding after
taking this class.
