1. Client Description and Brief
The client I am making an advert for is the fast food restaurant Taco Bell, which is a
subsidiary of Yum! Brands Inc. The restaurant specialises in Mexican styled food (Taco’s,
Burrito’s etc) and has been in business since 1962. Taco Bell serves more than 2 billion
customers each year in more than 6,500 restaurants mostly in the U.S., more than 80
percent of which are owned and operated by independent franchisees. Taco Bell has tasked
me with creating a new radio advert for them, without stipulating what the budget will be
and they have giving me full control so I can show my potential in the hopes I can work for
them again. As my audience base is huge I will not target my audience at a specific audience
or gender, as I would like my advert to appeal to everyone listening making them want try
or have a Taco Bell meal. The marketing has been focused on radio, as this form of medium
would reach the most amount of listeners. I am planning to use Mexican themed music in
my advert as it relates to the food Taco Bell sell and it does not lean towards a certain
demographic. The unique selling point is the new breakfast meals that have just been
introduced to Taco Bell. The Breakfast meals include types of food that no other fast food
restaurant sells such as the AM breakfast taco.
