• Not responsible for pre-class/post-class communication

How We Teach
• We all teach the same material
• The way we teach it MATTERS
• Who the teacher is MATTERS
Things to Avoid?
• Jargon
   – Use a context that novice cyclists can understand and
     relate to
• Spandex/Lycra
   – Yes, it has its place. Demonstrate that bicycling can be
     “normal”
• Scaring students
   – Emphasize positive aspects (especially for trails students)
   – Save the “risk” and “crash” conversations for later

LCI Expectations
• Always have students sign-in (legible full name and email)
• Make sure they sign the waiver.
• Provide an updated cell phone number for you for class
  coordination.
• What to bring:
   –   16-20 markers (tennis ball halves)
   –   water
   –   tools to fix a flat tire (tire levers, tube, patch kit, pump)
   –   Field cards of parking lot drills
• DO NOT sign up for a "Trainee" slot if you are not a Trainee
