Many have never understood that the
four OldTestament books of Matthew,
Mark, Luke and John -- before
the cross (MMLJ/BC) -- not the book of
Malachi, describe the "end" of the Old
Testament Mosaical "age.“
Millions have never learned that only
Acts, chapter 2, marks the "beginning"
of the NewTestament "age"
and revelation of new covenant
"doctrine." As a result of this doctrinal
"error" in dividing between the books of
the Old and NewTestaments, millions
have misinterpreted and misunderstood
Christ's teaching of the OldTestament
law of Moses in MMLJ/BC as new
covenant teaching.

9. The“RESTORATION”Movement
Historically,Churches of Christ in the United States have roots in the
American Restoration Movement, and were recognized as a distinct
religious group by the U.S. Religious Census of 1906. Prior to that all
congregations associated with the Restoration Movement had been
reported together by the Census Bureau. The Restoration Movement
began on the American frontier during the Second Great
Awakening of the early 19th century under the leadership
ofThomas and Alexander Campbell,Walter Scott, and BartonW.
Stone. Those leaders had declared their independence from
their Presbyterian roots, seeking a fresh start to restore the New
Testament church, and abandoning creeds. They did not see
themselves as establishing a new church. Rather, the movement
sought the restoration of the church and "the unification of all
Christians in a single body patterned after the church of the New
Testament."[2]:

The following quotations from recognized
biblical manuscript authorities on the "text"
and "canon“( books of the Bible) show
clearly that the NewTestament "title page"
-- the page that divides between the books
of Malachi and Matthew -- the Old and New
Testaments -- in our modern Bibles, was
"first" placed in the Bible by Roman Catholic
sectarian "translators" and " publishers" and
was "first" printed by Pruss of Strassburg in
1486AD.
These quotations also show that from the
time of the inspired new covenant apostles
in the 1st century to 1486, there was no
"inspired" or "apostolic" division
"authorized" between the books of Malachi
and Matthew.

13. FactsAboutMMLJ/BC…
1. MMLJBC describe the last thirty-three years
of the OldTestament age -- not the beginning
of the NewTestament age.Therefore,
Malachi is not the last book of the Old
Testament or Mosaical age.Therefore,
Matthew is not the first book of the New
Testament age.
2. 2. In MMLJBC, Jesus declares more that 100
times that he is teaching the OldTestament
law of Moses; not 1 time did he ever state
that he was teaching NewTestament
doctrine. In MMLJBC, several hundred times
the Scriptures describe him teaching the Old
Testament law of Moses; not once time do
they ever describe him teaching New
Testament doctrine.
3. 3. In MMLJBC, Christ primarily addresses the
OldTestament Jews of Israel; only on rare
occasions an alien Gentile. In MMLJBC, he
never addresses or speaks to NewTestament
Christians. In fact, in MMLJBC, Jesus never
used the word “Christian.”
4. In MMLJBC, Jesus was an OldTestament
“Israelite” -- not a NewTestament “Christian.”
Jesus was a member of the OldTestament
“kingdom” of Israel -- not a member of the
NewTestament “kingdom.”
5. In MMLJBC, Jesus was an OldTestament
“prophet,” not a NewTestament “evangelist.”
In MMLJBC, Jesus“ restored” unfaithful” Jews
back to God under the OldTestament law of
Moses, he did not “save” alien sinners by the
NewTestament “gospel.”
6. In MMLJBC, Jesus preached only the Old
Testament Mosaical “gospel” (Lk. 4:16-21), he
never preached the NewTestament “gospel”
of his death, burial and resurrection (1 Cor.
15:1-4).7. In MMLJBC, Jesus preached the Old
Testament plan of salvation in the law of
Moses for Jews only (Matt.19:16-22), he did
not preach the NewTestment “gospel” of
Christ’s death, burial and resurrection.

14. FiveThingsWeMustLearn–MMLJ/BC
FiveThings We Must Learn
About Matthew, Mark, Luke And John
If we are to believe in and obey the NewTestament of Christ
today, we must learn the difference between and Old and
NewTestaments. We must not interpretChrist's teaching of
the OldTestament law of Moses in MMLJ/BC -- as New
Testament "doctrine." Let us learn the following five biblical
facts.
1.MMLJ/BC describe the last thirty-three years of the Old
Testament Mosaical "age" -- rather than the "beginning"of
the NewTestament "age." More than 100 times in MMLJ/BC
Jesus declared that he was teaching theOldTestament law of
Moses. Not once did he ever state in MMLJ/BC that he was
teaching NewTestament "doctrine."OnlyActs 2 and the
epistles of Romans through Revelation 22 describe new
covenant "faith," doctrine, establishment of the New
Testament "church-kingdom" and examples of new covenant
"Christian" worship and living.
2.MMLJ/BC describe the mission of John and Jesus to only
OldTestament Israel (Matt. 15:24; 10:5-6) for the purpose
of "fulfilling" all promises and prophecies that God had made
to his old covenant people. They show John and Jesus as Old
Testament "prophets" -- not NewTestament "evangelists."
3.MMLJ/BC record the events when John and Jesus
preached the OldTestament Mosaical "gospel" or "good
news" of God for OldTestament Israel (Matt. 4:17; Lk. 4:16-
21).They declared that the Messiah had come to Israel, that
the "end" of Israel and abolishment of the law of Moses was
near (Matt. 21:43), and that God's new covenant "kingdom"
was "at hand.”
4.MMLJ/BC describe examples of unfaithful Jews
"believing" on their OldTestament Messiah and being
restored back to God under the OldTestament law of Moses.
5.MMLJ/BC show John and Jesus worshipping according
to the law of Moses, commanding the offering ofanimal
sacrifice and use of instrumental music in temple worship
while theOldTestament Mosaical covenant wasstill in force.
MMLJ/BC do not show John and Jesus worshipping with the
NewTestament "church."

15. TruthAboutMMLJ/BC
Uncovers why the book of Malachi is
not the last book of the OldTestament and why
Matthew is not the first book of the NewTestament.
Explains why according to God’s own
plan that Christ was “born in the Old Testament
age and under the law of Moses in Israel. How he
did all of his teaching to Israel in MMLJ/BC under the
jurisdiction of the old covenant law of Moses.
Shows why these four OldTestament
"gospels" of the Law of Moses in Matthew, Mark,
Luke and John -- before the cross (MMLJ/BC) – must
be placed in the OldTestament age as did the Holy
Spirit and apostles, and not in this NewTestament
age as the uninspired, sectarian and denominational
translators and commercial printers of our modern
Bibles have done.
Describes how to "rightly divide"
between God's old covenant teaching of the law of
Moses by Christ in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John --
before the cross (MMLJ/BC), and Christ's new
covenant teaching revealed through the Holy Spirit
in "the apostles' doctrine" of Acts 2 through
Revelation 22 -- after the cross.
Details the doctrinal difference
between the OldTestament "gospel, faith and
baptism" of the OldTestament "limited"
commission of Matthew 10:5-6 that John and
Jesus preached to Israel in Matthew, Mark,
Luke and John -- before the cross (MMLJ/BC),
and the NewTestament "gospel, faith, and
baptism" of the NewTestament "great"
commission of Matthew 28:19-20 that the
apostles preached to the alien world in Acts 2
through Revelation 22 -- after the cross.
Uncovers NewTestament reasons why
we cannot teach, obey or follow Christ's Old
Testament teaching of the law of Moses and
his practice of Israel's old covenant religion in
Matthew, Mark, Luke and John -- before the
cross (MMLJ/BC).
Explains why any Christians today who
attempts to keep the OldTestament teaching
of the law of Moses by Christ in MMLJ/BC will
lead to that child of God to “fall from grace”
(Gal. 2:16, 5:4).
Bible Studies by Dan Billingsly 15
16. NewTestamentChristiansCannot…
1. NewTestament Christians cannot
“follow” the OldTestament religion
that Christ observed in MMLJ/BC.
2. They cannot worship God in the
temple at Jerusalem or synagogues in
Israel according to the OldTestament
law of Moses as Christ did in MMLJ/BC.
“13And the Jews’ passover was at
hand, and Jesus went up to
Jerusalem,
14And found in the temple those that
sold oxen and sheep and doves, and
the changers of money sitting:
15And when he had made a scourge of
small cords, he drove them all out of
the temple, and the sheep, and the
oxen; and poured out the changers’
money, and overthrew the tables;
16And said unto them that sold
doves,Take these things hence; make
not my Father’s house an house of
merchandise” ( John 2:13-16).
“23And Jesus went about all Galilee,
teaching in their synagogues, and
preaching the gospel of the kingdom,
and healing all manner of sickness and
all manner of disease among the
people.
24And his fame went throughout all
Syria: and they brought unto him all
sick people that were taken with divers
diseases and torments, and those
which were possessed with devils, and
those which were lunatic, and those
that had the palsy; and he healed
them.
25And there followed him great
multitudes of people from Galilee,
and from Decapolis, and from
Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from
beyond Jordan.
Bible Studies by Dan Billingsly 16
17. NewTestamentChurchCannot…
3.They cannot teach the OldTestament law
of Moses to other Christians that Christ
taught in MMLJ/BC to only OldTestament
Israel.
“12Therefore all things whatsoever ye would
that men should do to you, do ye even so to
them: for this is the law and the prophets”
(Matthew 7:12).
4.The NewTestament church cannot offer
animal blood sacrifices to God as Christ
commanded Israel under the law of Moses.
“1When he was come down from the
mountain, great multitudes followed him.
2And, behold, there came a leper and
worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt,
thou canst make me clean.
3And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched
him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And
immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
4And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell
no man; but go thy way, show thyself to
the priest, and offer the gift that Moses
commanded, for a testimony unto them”
(Matthew 8:1-4).
5. The NewTestament church cannot “go
only to the lost sheep of the house of
Israel “ (Matthew 10:1-6) as Christ
commanded his disciples in Israel under
the law of Moses in MMLJ/BC – Christians
must go into all the world.
“18And Jesus came and spake unto
them, saying, All power is given unto
me in heaven and in earth.
19Go ye therefore, and teach all
nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father, and of the Son, and of the
Holy Ghost:
20Teaching them to observe all things
whatsoever I have commanded you:
and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto
the end of the world.Amen” (Matthew
218:16-20).
Bible Studies by Dan Billingsly 17
18. NewTestamentChristiansCannot…
7.The NewTestament church cannot
observe the OldTestament “sabbath” as
Christ did with Israel in MMLJ/BC.
“1And he entered again into the synagogue;
and there was a man there which had a
withered hand.
2And they watched him, whether he would
heal him on the sabbath day; that they
might accuse him.
3And he saith unto the man which had the
withered hand, Stand forth.
4And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do
good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to
save life, or to kill? But they held their
peace. 5And when he had looked round
about on them with anger, being grieved
for the hardness of their hearts, he saith
unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand.
And he stretched it out: and his hand was
restored whole as the other. (Mark 3:1-6).
8. The NewTestament church cannot offer
OldTestament “tithes” that Christ
commanded OldTestament Israel in
MMLJ/BC.
“10Two men went up into the temple to
pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other
a publican.
11The Pharisee stood and prayed thus
with himself, God, I thank thee, that I
am not as other men are, extortioners,
unjust, adulterers, or even as this
publican.
12I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of
all that I possess.
13And the publican, standing afar off,
would not lift up so much as his eyes
unto heaven, but smote upon his
breast, saying, God be merciful to me a
sinner.
14I tell you, this man went down to his
house justified rather than the other:
for every one that exalteth himself shall
be abased; and he that humbleth
himself shall be exalted” (Luke 18:9-14).
