- Develop their listening skills by listening to audios files of the activities and singing a

present simple, questions and personal pronouns.

Teaching approach: The lesson is based on the Communicative approach, and
organized through The PPP Procedure.


Materials and resources: The pupil’s book Young Achievers 1. Ed. Richmond. 
Notebook and CD player for the audios Cd.
Pedagogical use of ICT in class or at home: In the lesson, the notebook will be used
to watch and listen to a video about a Hello song.

Seating arrangement: To begin the lesson students will be sitting in their desks and
then they will stand up to sing the song. Then they will be sitting in their desk. 

Assessment: I will check that learners can understand and produce functional
language: identifying and describing objects and its colours.
- I will check that learners can understand and produce oral messages using the unit
grammar: present simple, questions and personal pronouns.
Stages in the lesson
Routine: 10´
Purpose: to begin the lesson, motivating the students in a positive way to
predispose themselves to enjoy the class and strengthen the interaction.
Description:
I will greet students: “Hello!
EA: “Hello!”
I will ask to the students; “How are you? Are you fine?”
EA: “fine”
Then, I will invite students to stand up.
Then, I will invite students to watch a video and sing a Hello song.
Then, I will play the video on the notebook.

Then I invite the students to sit down on their desks.
Then, I will ask the student –“Would you like to play spinner game?”-
I will show the spinning wheel. And I will explain how we can play with this.
I turn the wheel and they have to mention the colour and the number that the
arrow points.
Then, I will invite the students to turn the wheel. And the rest mention the colour
and the number.
Warm-up 7´:
Purpose: to introduce the topic and teaching points
Description:
I will invite the students to play a game. I'm going to invite a student to stand up
and move forward. Then I will tell a student to close the eyes. Then I will put in
front of her/him a flashcard with relief and the student should try to guess which

object is it. The rest of the students can say things to help the diviner to guess the
object.
Then, I will invite another student to guess other flashcards.
Transition: ok. I will show a picture. Do know what is it?
Presentation 2´:
Purpose: expose to the vocabulary.
Description:
I will show a drawing of a family. And I will mention who they are. I will say to my
students -“This is a mum. This is a Dad. They are their sons”-
And I will tell them the name of my parents. –“My mom is Graciela, and my dad is
Alfredo”-
Then, I will ask –“if they want to tell the name of their parents”-
Transition: Do you like surprise birthday parties? Ok, let´s go to the pupils’ book.
We are going to talk about a party.
Development 45´
Activity 1 – 5´
Purpose: expose to the vocabulary.
Description:
I will invite students to open their pupils’ book on page 26.
Then, I will invite the students to look at the pictures in the story on page 26 and
27.
Then, I will ask, -“How many balloons can you see?”-
E.A: I can see ten balloons.
Then, I will ask, -“What colour are the balloons?”-
E.A: The balloon is green.
Then, I will ask, -“How many party hats can you see?” -
E.A: I can see three party hats.
Then, I will ask, -“What colour are the party hats?”-
E.A: they are green, blue and yellow.
Then, I will ask, -“How many cakes can you see?” -
E.A: I can see one cake.
Then, I will ask, -“What colour is the cake?”-
E.A: It is brown.
Then, I will ask, -“How many cards can you see?-”
E.A: I can see three cards.
Then, I will ask, -“What colour are the cards?”-
E.A: They are pink, yellow, and blue.
Then, I will ask, -“How many present can you see?”-
E.A: I can see one present.
Then, I will ask, -“What colour is the present?”-
E.A: It is blue.
Transition: Now, We are going to listen the story about a surprise birthday
party.
 Activity 2 – 10´
 Purpose: practise the vocabulary.
Description:
I will invite the students to follow the story on their books.
Then, I will play the audio file on the CD player.
Then, I will ask the students “what is the story about?”
E.A: a birthday party.
Then, I will ask the students “Whose birthday is it?”
E.A: dad`s birthday.
Transition: now, we are going to complete the activity
 Activity 3 – 5´
 Purpose: practise and revise the vocabulary.
Description:
I will invite the students to trace and complete the sentences in the activity 2,
on page 27.
Then, I will invite the students to look and complete the name of the pictures.
Then, I will ask, “What is number 1?”
E. A: it is a balloon.
Then, I will ask, “What is number 2?”
E.A: it is a cake.
Then, I will ask, “What is number 3?”
E.A: it is a present.
Then, I will ask, “What is number 4?”
E.A: they are cards.
Transition: now, we are going to make a drawing.
Activity 4 – 10´
Purpose: practise the vocabulary.
Description:
I will give to the students a piece of paper and I will invite them to make a
drawing of a happy birthday card for your family.
Transition: I am going to give you a note with your homework.

 Description:
I will invite the Students to mention one question that we have learnt today.
Then, I will invite the Students to mention two things that we have learnt today.
Finally, I will invite the students to mention three activities that we have done
today.
Then, I will say goodbye to the students and remember them to do the
homework.
“Ok. Now it is the time, your parents are here, you can go home now. Please
remember to do the homework. Goodbye. Have a nice week”

  • 7. Development 45´ Activity 1 – 5´ Purpose: expose to the vocabulary. Description: I will invite students to open their pupils’ book on page 26. Then, I will invite the students to look at the pictures in the story on page 26 and 27. Then, I will ask, -“How many balloons can you see?”- E.A: I can see ten balloons. Then, I will ask, -“What colour are the balloons?”- E.A: The balloon is green. Then, I will ask, -“How many party hats can you see?” - E.A: I can see three party hats. Then, I will ask, -“What colour are the party hats?”- E.A: they are green, blue and yellow. Then, I will ask, -“How many cakes can you see?” - E.A: I can see one cake. Then, I will ask, -“What colour is the cake?”- E.A: It is brown. Then, I will ask, -“How many cards can you see?-” E.A: I can see three cards. Then, I will ask, -“What colour are the cards?”- E.A: They are pink, yellow, and blue. Then, I will ask, -“How many present can you see?”- E.A: I can see one present.   • 8. Transition: Now, We are going to listen the story about a surprise birthday party.  Activity 2 – 10´  Purpose: practise the vocabulary. Description: I will invite the students to follow the story on their books. Then, I will play the audio file on the CD player.

Description: I will invite the students to trace and complete the sentences in the activity 2, on page 27. Then, I will invite the students to look and complete the name of the pictures.
