“Shadow Killers”

      Presented by:
Risk Factors

Investment in the film industry is highly speculative and inherently risky.
There can be no assurance of the economic success of any motion picture
since the revenues derived from the production and distribution of a motion
picture depend primarily upon its acceptance by the public, which cannot be
predicted.

The commercial success of a motion picture also depends upon the quality
and acceptance of other competing films released into the marketplace at or
near the same time, general economic factors, and other tangible and
intangible factors, all of which can change and cannot be predicted with
certainty.
“shadow Killers”

          Log Line: SHADOW KILLERS

        action/thriller/adventure/romance

The leader of a covert military unit turns against his
own men to save an American college girl after her
plane goes down in the jungles of Nicaragua.
“shadow Killers”
        Benefits/What Can Be Expected

• Strong potential of long running franchise with multiple sequels on
the level of James Bond or Jason Bourne
• Story of loyalty, friendship, love, deceit, revenge and redemption
• Holds your interest, not predictable, keeps you guessing
“shadow Killers”
                    Director – Wish List

• Dominic Sena (Whiteout, Swordfish, Gone in 60 Seconds)
• Roger Donaldson (The Bank Job, The Recruit)
• Martin Campbell (Casino Royale, Legend of Zorro, Vertical Limit)
• Jan de Bont (Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, The Haunting)

In talks with CAA.
“shadow Killers”
The lead roles:
SGT. REED GRANGER (protagonist): Early 30s, American. The team leader of a secret, well-
trained government assassination unit. He is plagued by memories of his wife and her death 12
years earlier. He’s been having serious doubts about his work after he is forced to kill a woman on
his latest assignment.

SGT. VICTOR DANZIG (antagonist): Mid-30s, American. Second in command of the
assassination unit, but a near equal and longtime rival to Granger. Where Granger’s conscience has
been eating at him, Danzig has gone the other way. Too much killing has driven him over the edge.
He always follows orders and nothing will get in the way of that.

SARAH HUNT (damsel in distress): 22, American, blonde, senior in college (Vanderbilt),
mechanical engineering major and cross-country runner. The privileged daughter of a U.S. Senator.
High-spirited, intelligent, a quick learner. After a plane crash, her father is murdered and she is
forced to escape a crew of hired killers, with the help of Granger. Light and breezy in the best of
situations, here she is wily, adaptable and clever. And she has instant chemistry with Granger. A
highly emotional role with surprising elements.

COL. GLORIA SCHALLERT: Female, 40s to 60s. Granger’s tough, no-nonsense superior. Senior
control officer. Career in military intelligence. Weary. Dogged by demons she chooses to ignore.
Like Granger, Schallert is forced to make a choice about whether to follow orders, and ultimately
must decide whether honesty or loyalty is more important.

Distribution For Action Films

 Lions Gate Films, known for distribution of action and franchise
films including Crank and Transporter, to date over 450 films
 Sony, proven success with over 400 films including Spiderman and
James Bond franchise with world-wide distribution
 Universal Pictures, over 5,450 films including Scorpion King and
    Fast and Furious franchise

We will be looking at these studios due to their highly successful
track record in distributing franchise films.
Demographics
Marketing geared toward both younger and mature audiences
as well as both male and female moviegoers.
• While the box office for action/thriller films has usually been thought
of as being driven by young men, they have equal attraction for
mature audiences. Additionally, there is no longer a great divide
  between male and female moviegoers

• Viewers age 12-24 equal 28% of theatrical admissions
• Viewers age 25-39 equal 27% of theatrical admissions
• Viewers age 40+ has consistently grown, making up 45% of film
  audiences
• Potential 174 million viewers in these three age groups

With a strong story line and appeal to both genders, “Shadow Killers”
will keep viewers interested enough for repeat viewing
Return on Investment

• Section 181 provides 100% tax write-off at time of investment
• Start of filming to release typically 12 to 18 months, making
  return, long term capital gains
• 120% return on investment and 50% of profits
• Branding and product placement estimated at $2M - $5M
• Estimated tax credits $3M - $6M depending on filming location
• $5M - $11M in branding and tax credits returned to investors
  as long term capital gains
• $5M - $11M in returns on $20M investment before box office
  receipts
Gross profits of comparable films
Projected Income
Thank You for your Consideration
Now let’s make the movie that has the
       Franchise Opportunity
