2. What is DAISY?
• DAISY stands for Digital Accessible
Information System - it is a digital talking book
or electronic publication format that allows
synchronized playback of audio, text, images.
• DAISY digital talking books offer the benefits
of regular audiobooks, but they are superior
because DAISY includes navigation.

for Mobile Phones
• Code Factory Mobile DAISY Player for Symbian
phones – supports Bookshare and NFB Newsline
publications. Supports DAISY 2.02 and DAISY 3.
• Nuance Daisy2Go is a part of the Nuance
Accessibility Suite, optimized for Nuance TALKS,
to allow for easy alternation between audio and
textual content. It is free for users who own a
license of TALKS&ZOOMS Premium Edition.

4. DAISY Reader Apps for Apple devices
• DaisyWorm - Simple DAISY reader created by the
Association for the Blind of Western Australia.
• It will not read digital content from Bookshare or
Learning Ally.
• Supports DAISY 2.02, works well with
VoiceOver.
• Books can be transferred from computer using the
iTunes File Sharing feature or any FTP client. For

App Store.

5. Learning Ally Audio App
• To download Learning Ally DAISY books you will
need to install the latest version of the Download
Manager for use with the app.
• Navigate through structured DAISY audio book
chapters & page numbers, go to a specific page
number within the book. The app will remember
the place in the book where you stopped reading.
• This application is fully VoiceOver accessible.

• Developed by Bookshare's parent non-profit
Benetech in partnership with Shinano Kenshi Co.,
Ltd which is known for its PLEXTALK® digital
talking book players.
• This app lets Bookshare members browse, search
and download more than 127,000 Bookshare
text-only DAISY 3 books, works with VoiceOver.
• Users can browse and search the Bookshare

• Enjoy different flavors of unprotected DAISY 2.02 and
