Pakistan has constructed 155 dams so far which allows it to store water for only 30 days, while India has built over 5 times as many dams at 5102 which provides 170 days of water storage. Pakistan uses 90% of its water for agriculture but the heavy use of tube wells and water bores is causing the underground water level to drop sharply.
