Originallyimplemented in France, it was
easily adopted into medieval England

King: Complete control, owned all land,
gave to lords who were faithful.
Lord: Given lands called manors. Loyal to
king.
Knight(Vassal): Provided military force for
king or lords. Helped those in need.
Serf: Provided labor on fields for knights or
lords.

System by which the Lord
exploited the serfs who
worked his estate.
Manorialism represented the
economic portion of
feudalism
Encompassed the political
relations between the Lord
and his serfs. This allowed the
Lord governmental power.
6. Feudal System
The Feudal System was sustained by the rights
and privileges given to the Upper Classes and
in most cases enacted by laws.
