   1. 概
 在主从复合句中,用作同位语的从句,叫同位语从
   念:
  句。它一般跟在某些名词的后面。 < 作名词的同位语 >
  The Noun Clause can be used as an appositive in a sentence.


 e.g.
 The thought that they could cross the whole continent
  was exciting.

   类:
  词 , 无意义 , 也不作任何成份


 We were very excited at the news that our team had won.

  letter until 2 o’clock.

(2) 由 whether 引导的同位语从句 , whether 的意思“是否”,
    类:
  但不作句子成份



 We are not going to discuss the problem whether grass will
  be planted in the playground.
    操场是否种草这个问题我们不打算讨论


There is some doubt whether he will come.
有点怀疑他是否会来。

   类:

(4) 由 when,where,how,why 等连接副词引导的同位语从句
    类:
 I have no idea when he will be back.
 He refuses to answer the question how he became rich.
• You have no idea how worried I was! 你不知
  道我多着急
• He had no idea why she left.

              区别: [ 同位语从句 ]VS[ 定语从句 ]


• 定语从句是从句对其先行词的修饰或限制 , 属于形容词
  性从句的范畴 ; 而同位语从句是从句对前面抽象名词的
  进一步的说明和解释 , 属于名词性从句的范畴,如 :
•   The news that our team has won the game was true.
•       我们队赢了那场比赛的消息是真的。
•   ( 同位语从句 , 补充说明 news 到底是一个什么消息 )
•   The news that he told me yesterday was true.
•       昨天他告诉我的那个消息是真的。
•   ( 定语从句 , news 在从句中作 told 的宾语 )

•    The order that we should send a few people to help the
    other groups was received yesterday.
•            我们应派几个人去帮别的几个小组的命令昨天收
    到了。
•        ( 同位语从句 , 是对 order 的具体解释 , that 虽不作
    成分 , 但不能省略 )
•        The order that we received yesterday was that we
    should send a few people to help the other groups.
•            我们昨天收到的命令是我们应该派几个人去帮助
    别的几个小组。
•        ( 定语从句 , 是名词 order 的修饰语 , that 在从句中
    作 received 的宾语 , 可以省略 )

同位语从句



• 常跟的抽象名词有 :
• 同位语从句前面的名词只能是 idea, fact,
  news, hope, belief, suggestion, proposal,
  word, thought, doubt, truth, possibility,
  promise, order 等有一定内涵的名词,而定
  语从句的先行词可以是名词 , 代词 , 主句的
  一部分或是整个主句。

同位语从句与前面的名词是同位关系,即说
明它前面名词的内容;定语从句与前面的
名词是修饰与修饰的关系,即限定它前面
的名词范围,或补充说明。

 引导同位语从句的 that 是从属连词,在从
句中不充当任何成分、通常不能省略;而
引导定语从句的 that 是关系代词,除起连
接作用外,还在从句中充当主语
、宾语或表语等。当 that 充当宾语从句的宾
语时可省略
