Hesperocyparis forbesii, also known as the Tecate cypress, is an endangered species of conifer tree native to a small area in southern California and northern Baja California. It is a small evergreen tree reaching 15 to 30 feet tall, with grayish-green scale-like leaves and seed cones. The Tecate cypress faces threats from habitat loss and invasive species.
