Law Updates:
 The government has cleared 16 foreign investment proposals, including
that of HDFC Capital and Ageon Religare Life Insurance Company,
amounting to Rs 4,722 crore.
 India might have become a better place for starting a business. Marking
a significant improvement, India has been ranked at the 130th position
among 189 economies in the World Bank‟s „Doing Business 2016‟
report. The country‟s ranking has jumped from 142nd spot last year.
 The Government has appointed senior Indian Revenue Service officer
Najib Shah as Chairman, Central Board of Excise and Customs.
 Under new rules, Income Tax Department has asked its customer care
centres to monitor email complaints of taxpayers about their income
tax returns and other problems and diligently send them to tax officers.

 Vide MCA General Circular No. 14/2015 dated 28 October, 2015
notified relaxation of additional fees and extension of last date of filing
of AOC-4, AOC-4 XBRL and MGT-7 E-Forms upto 30th November,
2015 under the Companies Act, 2013.
 Vide CBEC Notification No. 52/2015-Customs (ADD) dated 28 October,
2015 extended the validity of notification No 108/2010-Customs, dated
the 6th October, 2010 for a further period of one year.
 Vide DVAT CIRCULAR NO. 27 of 2015-16 dated 28 October, 2015
extended the last date of filing of online/hard copy of second quarter
return for the year 2015-16, in Form DVAT-16, DVAT-17 and DVAT-48
along with required annexure/enclosures to 16/11/2015.
 Vide DGFT Public Notice No. 43 (RE-2015)/2015-20 dated 28 October,
2015 notified that Export of finished leather, Wet Blue and EI Tanned
leather has been permitted through the ICDs at Jalandhar and Nagpur
also.

Early life
Born on 25 December 1968 and brought up in Mumbai, Alok Kejriwal is from a Marwari family with a
business background. He studied at Campion School, Mumbai. He holds a master's degree in commerce
from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai. After completing his M.Com from
Mumbai he started working in his father‟s company which was a shock manufacturing company. After
working for a decade there, he started dreaming of starting something of his own, after all
Entrepreneurship is what he wanted. In 1998 he left his father‟s successful business and started
contest2win an online game advertisment firm. After moderate success of contest2win he started
mobile2win a mobile value added service company which was sold by him later and later he hit the jackpot

Career
At age of 21, he joined father Anand Kejriwal‟s socks manufacturing company, Hindustan Hosiery
Industries. After 10 years as Socks Entrepreneur, he resigned to start his own Online venture in 1998
called Contests2Win which handled SMS contests for various TV shows. It quickly grabbed the VAS
Business of Indian Idol. In 2001, he then set up a mobile venture Mobile2win in China to offer mobile
competitions and promotions by starting a television to mobile interactive platform. Mobile2win was
brought into India in 2003. The company was acquired by Walt Disney in China in and Norwest Venture
Partners in India in 2006. Media2win, an interactive digital agency was founded in 2004. Games2win is
his fourth company which he co-founded in 2007. In 2009, his company started KoiMoi.Com which has
turned out to be the leading Bollywood News and Film Reviews Website.
Success mantra
