Favorite nursing memory: The people-my classmates, who are great friends—the faculty,
who are inspirational role models—and patients, who I was able to care for.

Favorite memory: All of the friendships I have made throughout my time in the
program. I also particularly loved my entire trip to Belize in the Spring of 2011. It
made me grow as a nurse and a person in ways I would never have imagined.
Future plans: Work with veterans at a VA hospital. I also have plans to continue my
education.

Future Plans: I love research and I can't get enough of working with children! I hope to
work in children's hospital and become involved in nursing research after graduation. I
hope to pursue a DNP in Pediatrics or Nurse Anesthesia.
Memory: After making the decision to take his son off of life support, a father told me
that he is so thankful for what nurses do, how kind and compassionate we are, and
that he will always be thankful that his son was brought to us. A moment I will never
forget- this is why I am a nurse.

Future nursing plans: Work as a staff RN for a few years and then

Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So,

ones who don't. And believe that everything happens for a
reason. If you get a chance - take it; if it changes your life
- let it. Nobody said that it would be easy, they just
promised that it would be worth it.

My favorite nursing memory is one from South Africa. We went to AIDS
Haven, a place for kids with AIDS or parents who died of AIDS to live.
We spent time with the preschoolers. Teaching them to write and see
the smiles on their faces was really moving and eye-opening, and it
really reminded me of how precious life can be.
