1. Biofuel Enzymes

The rate of a reaction is a very dynamic process which is affected by various factors that can make the reaction faster or slower. The majority of these factors have been discovered by experimentation; these are temperature, pH levels, concentration of substances and presence of enzymes. In biology the factor that is most important is the presence or absence of enzymes. Enzymes help to control the activity that occurs in the body. They are proteins that act as a catalytic in many living organism. It has as function to increase the reaction rate when it becomes in contact with the surface of the subtract; the subtract is the one that during the reaction changes into product. In this experiment we were able to see the different effects that the present and absence of enzymes have in the reaction and the effect of temperature too. To determine the rate of the reactions we used the quantity of product produce as a guide. We could see that the samples containing enzyme and were exposed to heat had a much faster rate of reaction that the ones were the enzyme was absence.
Cristina M.
