Writing An Argumentative Essay
During this course I have learned there is in fact a great deal to writing. Throughout my lifetime I
have had to write numerous amounts of essays and papers for various subjects, all requiring
different styles and techniques. Before engulfing myself into the writing process I would try and
think of whom I am writing to and what I am writing about. I always just assumed I was writing for
my audience, that being my teacher. Writing an argumentative research paper is something I had yet
to accomplish in my college career. Not only was it thought provoking but this paper challenged me
in many ways, such as, knowing who I should be directing throughout the essay to as well as the
simple steps of organizing my thoughts and ideas. Also, simply reflecting on what information needs
to be apart of the essay and what doesn't.
While writing for academic reasons I would always write for the grade, not for the purpose to
write and truly convince the reader that what I am writing about is in fact important. I have
learned that when writing an argumentative research paper you are writing for an audience of
people not just to one person. You are writing to convince the reader why they should care about
the topic, and the reader should be able to feel that passion in your writing. You are writing to
broaden the thoughts regarding this topic to whom ever chooses to read your paper not just for that
grade. Thinking of who I should direct my paper to is something I still struggle with, however,

There are two major types of stake holders. They are customers who fund the project and users who
would use / perform operations in the system. Apart from those there are other stake holders such as
Legal or contract management, Manufacturing or product release management, Sales & marketing,
Upper management, Government regulatory agencies, Society at large. So when elicitating the
requirements all these parties should be considered and their input should be taken into
consideration. When considering why a requirement elicitation process is needed, there are many
issues that can have a negative impact on our software development projects and products if user
requirements have been not been captured as per what user wants. These issues are Incomplete

a developer adds functionality to the software that wasn't in the requirements specification but that

Writing An Argumentative Essay Templates
Some students prefer to write in there own style of writing, while others believe that following a
template is not only beneficial but also constructive. Gerald Graff and Cathy Birkenstein say
"Academic writing calls upon writers not to simply express their own ideas, but to do so as a
response to what others have said." Templates give weak writers, a chance, to improve on their
writing in an organized fashion, while others believe that such templates may hinder there creativity
and retract from the originality of the writer. Many other templates exist other than the ones taught in
schools. The writers of "They Say, I Say' seek to convey that these "other" templates provide a
structured pattern of ideas that lead to well formed arguments. Using an opposing arguments, to your
argument, is proposed to be the better alternative in writing an debate essay. Although templates serve

Cathy Birkenstein and Gerald Graff do an impeccable job of relaying the information on templates
while using thorough explanation on how and when a template is useful. While an huge amount
of writers believe that using a template might deflate the writers creativity and originality, an
alternate group of illustrators exists which believes that templates provide a basis for great
writing. Numerous amounts of individuals consider templates to provide a clearer way of writing,
and may help a writer focus on delivering a point without overstating facts. Birkenstein and Graff

the kinds of critical thinking you are required to do on a college level." or the higher type of

a) Hannah is a friendly and approachable teacher. She creates a positive atmosphere that makes us
feel comfortable when answering questions. The start of her lesson are engaging and we enjoy
the topics that she covers during her lessons. However, she sometimes goes too slowly when
giving feedback or when she is teaching grammar, she will spend a long time at the board which
can sometimes get boring. But the speaking tasks at the end of her lessons allow us to practise the
new language and to discuss interesting topics that have been covered during the lesson. b) I feel

I feel that this is something that I could work on and would be a nice thing to incorporate into more
of my lessons. I think that Lucas uses the board effectively when giving demonstrations and
explanations. In TP1 he used a timeline to explain the past perfect continuous. His example
sentence was: "I was sleeping when Brazil lost." and successfully conveyed the meaning through a
timeline. He also uses the board for demonstrations of questions in tasks to check that the students
understand what they are meant to be doing. I feel that using this technique would ensure that my
instructions are clearer. What I'd like to emulate from observations of Ih teachers: Derek's lesson
on emotions to the Pre Intermediate was particularly enjoyable and effective because of his
enthusiasm. He also moved the students around so that they were able to work in different pairs.
This was effective in the lesson as the students strengths and weaknesses were easily recognised by
pairing them with different students. It also broke the lesson up nicely. I feel that this is something
that I could incorporate into my own lessons more often as it is useful for students to get speaking

Depression Case Study Essay
This paper introduces a 35–year–old female who is exhibiting signs of sadness, lack of interest in
daily activities and suicidal tendencies. She has no interest in hobbies, which have been very
important to her in the past. Her lack of ambition and her suicidal tendencies are causing great
concern for her family members. She is also exhibiting signs of hypersomnia, which will put her in
dangerous situations if left untreated. The family has great concern about her leaving the hospital at
this time, fearing that she may be a danger to herself. A treatment plan and ethical considerations will

Universal SAT Essay Template
This essay serves up all four SAT essay ingredients. It takes a very strong and clear stance on the
topic in the first sentence and sticks to it from start to finish. It uses three examples from a very
diverse array of disciplines–from Internet technology to history and politics to a profile of an
entrepreneur–and it never veers from using these examples to support the thesis statement's position.
The organization of the essay follows our Universal SAT Essay Template perfectly, both at the
paragraph level (topic sentences and development sentences) and at the overall essay level (intro,
three meaty example paragraphs, a strong conclusion). The command of language remains solid
throughout. The writer does not take risks with unfamiliar vocabulary

What Is Religion? Essay
What is religion? Each person's definition of religion is different. Each person's faith is different.
This is a question that has been asked for centuries, and regardless of the answer given there is no
right or wrong answer. Religion can be defined as a group of people who have shared beliefs who
feel their life has purpose or meaning. This feeling or belief that their life has meaning can come
from outside of themselves, as well as within. Taking this one step further, these shared beliefs put
into action in the form of worship, can be easily identified because they happen regularly. It can be
said the Primal religions were in fact not religions. Some may argue Confucianism is not a religion.
Others may say Taoism is not a...show more content...
They are teachings learned by previous generations then passed down, they are not always
actions. The fifth feature of religion is grace. Grace is defined by Smith as "the belief and
assurance that reality is on our side and can be counted on." Lastly there is mystery. For this there
is no exact definition, but it is all of what a religion cannot explain, it is all that the human mind
cannot grasp, it is the certain "higher power" that religion offers. Of these six features, there are
three that are present in most all religions, they are: authority, tradition, and mystery. Authority,
tradition, and mystery further explore and define religion when looking specifically at Primal
Religions, Confucianism, and Taoism. Primal Religions are often mistaken to be the religion of the
primitive man, often thought to be unintelligent. There is a definition of "primal" that is better
suited than unintelligent or primitive. Primal in terms of religion, refers to the lack of exposure to
technology, it is not "knowing" the state of consciousness given to many by the technological
environment. Primal religions preceded organized religion as we know it today by thousands of
years, in some cases millions, but are still present in the world today; we now call them tribal
religions. Within primal religions there are people who are knowledgeable about life, who are

Clinical Rotation Plan Essay
5.1 PERSONAL CONTEXT:
Personally I understand clinical rotation as side by side complement to nursing education because
without the clinical experience the student will nit acquire the basic objectives of nursing education.
Clinical rotation plan is a regular successive and recurrent posting of various groups of nursing
students belonging to different classes in specific nursing fields. I also understand that for clinical
rotation plan to be successful, the objectives must be clearly stated so that it can be evaluated if the
objectives are met or not.
In planning the clinical rotation, the number of areas where the student will acquire the experience
and the education of the clinical posting must be considered. I also know that the students should not
be left alone in the clinical areas without thorough supervision.
The teacher has important role to play if the clinical experience will be successful. The teacher
himself must ensure that adequate...show more content...

have at least 240hours of experience after each block of studies which last for 7 weeks.
I was able to rotate them considering their intelligence and their ability and ensure that adequate
theoretical teaching had been done before distributing them to clinical area. While they were in the
clinical areas I ensure adequate supervision, teaching on the wards, case presentation and bedside

The National Safety And Quality Health Service
Demonstrate Reflection: Form, Present and Support Own Opinions
The National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standard 2 Partnering with Consumers
requires all health professionals to provide consumer–centred care and to design the care in
partnership with the patient and the family (Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in health
Care, 2012). The NSQHS Standards (2012) identified patient and family–centred care and
engagement as one of the national priorities. As such, in order to improve patients' safety outcomes
and reduce hospital acquired conditions and readmissions and provide client centred services, the
IPE recognized the need for effective interprofessional teams to collaborate and engage patients and
families by implementing IPE core structures and processes (Brewer & Jones, 2013). The Curtin
University's ICF encompasses five interprofessional capabilities: "reflection, communication, team
function, conflict resolution, and role clarification" (Brewer & Jones, 2013, p. e47). The purpose
of ICF is to guide and assist health care students for collaborative practice to deliver safe and high
quality care, and client–centred care (Curtin University, 2011). Therefore, health science students are
expected to be competent in all skills and meet the criteria outlined in Curtin University' ICF.
This online 3 week IPE workshop gave me opportunities to develop the skills specified in ICF in
particular communication and team function. Reflecting on the team

Speech Self-Assessment
For my second speech self–assessment, I will start with the technical aspects of my speech. Then I
will continue with what I liked about my speech and what I thought I succeeded in. Finally, I will
move on to the areas where I think I can improve on. My speech had a clear specific purpose,
which I accomplished in the time given. It was well organized in the formal and keyword outline, as
well as the speech that was given. There was clear distinction between my introduction, my body
paragraphs, and my conclusion; and, I think the points transitioned together smoothly. I think for the
speech it was difficult to know how much research I should actually do. If this speech was for
students in any of the psychology course, then I would have conducted...show more content...
When I was writing the speech, I could not organize my thoughts until I had a working title. My
title helped me pull my speech together because it helped me realize something that I already
knew but was not clearly stated in my speech: stress is unavoidable. It was important for me to
emphasize that stress and stressors are an unavoidable part of life, and that perfectly healthy and
natural. Also, stress, and anything psychology related, has always been an interest of mine, so
this was a fun topic for me. However, I have a lot to say about the topic that I did not say because
of time and because of the simple fact that if I wanted to go deeper into the topic, the audience
would have gotten bored. The audience's interest in my speech play a big part in what I chose to
talk about because I wanted them to connect with something in my speech, for example, that is
why I chose to talk about what makes college students stressed. If I did not take the audience's
interest into consideration, then my entire speech would have looked at psychology's interpretation
of what stress is, but that would have probably bored the class. However, my love and appreciation
of my topic was also one of my

My Desire And Passion For Helping Others
My desire and passion for helping others is intertwine with my personal and professional life
experiences. Growing up in Guatemala, a third world country, helped me become the person I am
today. My first twelve years in my native country taught me lessons that changed my perspective
and shaped who I am and who I want to be in the future. From a young age, I had this great
admiration for nature and in Guatemala I was able to admire it. I remember endless nights
looking at the stars and patiently waiting for a shooting star. Nature was my play room. Life in
Guatemala was beautiful but it wasn't easy. It was not until I came to the United States that I
begin to realize how much my mother had sheltered me from the violence and poverty that
surrounded us. Sadly, my beautiful country is fill with corruption. The rich exploit the poor and
laws are created to protect does in power regardless of their wrongdoing. In Guatemala, women are
treated unequally because our society has rigid gender roles and has created a culture that takes
pride in masculinity and machismo. It was well known in my small village that if a man found a
female attractive and wanted her for himself he could "robarte" which translates to "steal you." My
mother and many other women in my family experienced this. My father was a policeman in
Guatemala and he was attracted to my mother. My mother, on the other hand, was not looking for
any serious relationship because she was only 17 years old. The city closest to

Essay about Training and Development
Training and development has become increasingly essential to the success of modern organisations,
yet some still look at training as a problem or as something that is not taken seriously. Training and
development is one key approach used by organisations to improve and maintain the capabilities of
its workforce. However, many experts distinguish between training and development, being that
training tends to be more closely focused and adapted towards short–term performance concerns,
while development tends to be adapted more towards expanding an individual's skills for future
responsibilities (Snell and Bohlander 2007). The main reason that organisations train their
employees is to bring their knowledge, skills and abilities up to the...show more content...
Furthermore, spoiled work, damages, and accidents to equipment and machinery can be kept to a
minimum by well trained employees, continued training helps employees develop their ability to
learn by adapting themselves to new work methods, learning to use new kinds of equipment, and
adjusting to major changes in work relationships and job content, also, through training, new
employees learn to measure up to standards for performance, thereby satisfying their human need for
personal growth and increasing their value to the organisation (Pigors and Myers 1977).
Similarly, Longenecker and Fink (2005) assert that the benefits derived from training are manifold,
and these include; exposure to new and better practices and ideas for application, leads to reflection,
self–appraisal and retrospection, motivates employees to improve performance, encourages career
development planning, helps identify specific performance problems and challenges an employee to
think differently, to name a few. Other benefits are a more flexible workforce, improved
performance of existing employees, decreased supervision, higher skill levels and reduced learning
time, thus reducing learning costs, improved organisation morale, and to ensure for succession
(Molander 1989).

What Does Legacy Mean To Me
Legacy to me means, after you die what people think of you. It means every little thought
someone had in their mind when you died. It means what people will always remember you by. I
want my legacy to inspire others and make them feel like sometimes the only thing you can do is
give kindness. I also think quirkiness can be a great legacy too. To me, kindness and quirkiness is
the key to life.
I would like it if people would remember me by the little quirky things. I don't want people to
remember me by how famous I was or how many cars I had. I want people to remember that I
didn't like the color orange or that I hate barbeque chips. I would like it if people would listen to my

Aesthetics Essays
Aesthetics Kant defined aesthetic as both, "the analysis of taste and the analysis of sensible
cognition or intuition" . Aesthesis, means "sensation", the Greeks made a distinction between
aesthesis autophues (natural sensation) and aesthesis epistemonike (acquired sensation). We may
say that aesthetics is both the study of aesthetic objects and of the specific and subjective reactions
of observers, readers, or audiences to the work of art. Aesthetics is necessarily interdisciplinary and
may be interpretive, prescriptive, descriptive, or a combination of these.
The big, obvious question about aesthetic value is whether it is ever 'really in' the objects it is
attributed to. This issue parallels the realism/anti–realism debates...show more content...
The third factor in aesthetic response is thought to be 'disinterestedness'. The idea is that the
pleasurable experience of attending to something in perception should not consist in liking a thing
only because it fulfills some definite function, satisfies a desire, or lives up to a prior standard or
principle.
There are subjective responses which we are justified in demanding from others: these are not
idiosyncratic likes and dislikes, but deeply rooted in our common nature as experiencing subjects,
and founded on a pleasurable response to the form of the object as it is presented in perception. This
means, among other things, "aesthetic value cannot be enshrined in learnable principles". There are
no genuine aesthetic principles, because to find aesthetic value we must, "get a look at the object
with our own eyes". Aesthetic judgments are founded upon the slender basis of one's own feeling of
pleasure, but can justifiably claim the universal agreement if the subjective response in question is
one that which any properly equipped observer would have.
Sometimes it is assumed that the prime interest in art is aesthetic, but that assumption bears some
examination. Unless "aesthetic stretches to cover everything conceivable that is of value in art, art
may have values which are not

School Needs Assessment Essay
This week, I reviewed my school's Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) and the School Needs
Assessment with my mentor. We focused on the data driven needs of the campus based on the
previous year's State Assessment results. The campus needed to do well enough on last year's
assessments so that it would be removed from both the state PEG list and the Improvement Required
list. When looking at assessment data and its effect on the schools Needs Assessment, it showed that
the areas that needed the most improvement from the previous year were being addressed in the
CIP for the coming year. According to the state regulations, the CIP must be reviewed and updated
yearly by the school's Improvement Committee.

two planning periods. This is to increase the efficiency of content planning of the teachers, as they
will use team planning to conduct professional Learning Community meetings for the campus
allowing teachers to maximize content planning time. In the conversation with the principal, he
explained there has not been a limit placed on the funds available for these needs on the campus. He
continued by saying that monies for this will be found and allocated as the need arises.
These changes on the campus have caused a major change to the schools culture, climate, and
communication on campus. The teachers have been able to plan more effectively and without
interruption due to staff meetings. This allows better classroom lessons to be developed by the
teachers, which helps the students to achieve greater success on assessments. The teachers feel that
material, which is supported through cross–curricular instruction, is being done in an effective
manner. Extra planning days on Saturdays has also helped the teachers to be better prepared for the
classroom in all subjects and grade levels. The student discipline has improved from previous years,
most discipline is handled by the teachers in team planning, allowing the administrators to deal with
the more serious cases of discipline on the campus. Administrators have also

Smoke Signals Film Analysis
This review will discuss the film Smoke Signals directed by Chris Eyre, screenplay by Sherman
Alexie. The film is good because it is a movie that grabs the viewer's attention with the adventure it
portrays in the film and the impact that it leaves at the end of the film. In this review, I will talk
about the details of the film as a whole to show what made it interesting. Also, this paper will talk
about other movies to compare and contrast against Smoke Signals. And finally, this paper will
discuss what makes a good movie in film standards.
The film Smoke Signals is a good movie that many people should take time to look at it. The film
follows the story of Victor, who has father issues as a young boy and as a young man. In the film,
they focus on two characters: Victor and Thomas. Victor is a tough guy but he has dad issues.
The other character is Thomas, who is slow to understand the situation but means well when he
tells his story. In the beginning of the film, Thomas' house is on fire, and Victor's dad saves him
from the fire but his parents do not make it out. As the years pass, Victor is growing up with his
father while Thomas is living with his grandmother. Victor's dad is never the same after the fire; he
acts different by being more drunk or just not being a good father. Then one day, Victor's mom and
dad have an argument with each other and Victor's dad picks up his stuff, takes their truck and
drives away. The film transitions to a period that is years later.

have drastic results. Many people believe that a one degree increase in the temperature will not
cause much harm. The truth is with every degree of increase in temperature a 100 more wildlife
species are put in danger of extinction. Numerous experiments and studies prove that an increased
level of greenhouse gases, mainly carbon dioxide, is causing climate change and causing it fast.
2) Human Activities
A) Burning of fossil fuels–This is the most prominent and deadly source of climate change. Burning
of fossil fuels can release greenhouse gases ranging from carbon dioxide to ammonia. With massive
industrialization currently going on, the amount of fossil fuels burned is increasing. Transport and
heating are also major energy sources. Almost 7 giga tonnes of Carbon dioxide is emitted per year.
In the U.K three–fourths of energy produced comes from fossil fuels. Mineral fuels like petroleum
and coal are major sources of energy. In the last 150 years more than 45 Billion tonnes of carbon
dioxide has been emitted .The most problematic factor is that in the last decade; there has been no
slowdown in carbon emissions.

delivery system. Options Option One–Texas would be able to identify super–utilizers, reduce their

Another 587 practitioners are needed to resolve the shortage (KFF, 2017). Texas also has high

Texas' overall ranking indicates a need to improve access and health care prevention and treatment
(quality). The following options offer solutions to improve Texas' health care delivery system.
OptionsOption One Texas can adopt a "hot–spotting" initiative to identify super–utilizers and direct
them toward outpatient resources. Super–utilizers are patients with hard–to–manage and complex
chronic conditions. Their chronic conditions worsen over time, which leads to more expensive,
invasive and risky treatment (Camden, 2017). Hot–spotting uses data to identify super–utilizers. It
also uses data to understand the cause of high ED use, to allocate resources, and to design effective
interventions (Camden, 2017). Effective interventions will improve the patient's ability to access
needed care and services outside the emergency departments and hospitals. New Jersey's
hot–spotting initiative called upon AmeriCorps volunteers to help connect super–utilizers to
outpatient resources and accompany patients to appointments, coordinate medications, determine
benefit eligibility and offer emotional support (Martinez et al., 2016). The coalition's founder, Dr.
Jeffrey Brenner, reported a 50 percent drop in

  • 1. Writing An Argumentative Essay During this course I have learned there is in fact a great deal to writing. Throughout my lifetime I have had to write numerous amounts of essays and papers for various subjects, all requiring different styles and techniques. Before engulfing myself into the writing process I would try and think of whom I am writing to and what I am writing about. I always just assumed I was writing for my audience, that being my teacher. Writing an argumentative research paper is something I had yet to accomplish in my college career. Not only was it thought provoking but this paper challenged me in many ways, such as, knowing who I should be directing throughout the essay to as well as the simple steps of organizing my thoughts and ideas. Also, simply reflecting on what information needs to be apart of the essay and what doesn't. While writing for academic reasons I would always write for the grade, not for the purpose to write and truly convince the reader that what I am writing about is in fact important. I have learned that when writing an argumentative research paper you are writing for an audience of people not just to one person. You are writing to convince the reader why they should care about the topic, and the reader should be able to feel that passion in your writing. You are writing to broaden the thoughts regarding this topic to whom ever chooses to read your paper not just for that grade. Thinking of who I should direct my paper to is something I still struggle with, however, Get more content on HelpWriting.net

They are customers who fund the project and users who would use / perform operations in the system. Apart from those there are other stake holders such as Legal or contract management, Manufacturing or product release management, Sales & marketing, Upper management, Government regulatory agencies, Society at large. So when elicitating the requirements all these parties should be considered and their input should be taken into consideration. When considering why a requirement elicitation process is needed, there are many issues that can have a negative impact on our software development projects and products if user requirements have been not been captured as per what user wants. These issues are Incomplete requirements, Lack of user involvement, Requirements churn, wasted resources, Gold plating (when a developer adds functionality to the software that wasn't in the requirements specification but that they believe " the user will just love" without putting that functionality through the requirements engineering process or vise versa which impacts the cost , Inaccurate estimates. The requirement elicitation process is a ongoing activity however majority of the requirements are elicitated at the early stage of the system development life cycle. However due to changing nature of business requirements , market changes , user requirements this will continue and most probably would be handle by Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Writing An Argumentative Essay Templates Some students prefer to write in there own style of writing, while others believe that following a template is not only beneficial but also constructive. Gerald Graff and Cathy Birkenstein say "Academic writing calls upon writers not to simply express their own ideas, but to do so as a response to what others have said." Templates give weak writers, a chance, to improve on their writing in an organized fashion, while others believe that such templates may hinder there creativity and retract from the originality of the writer. Many other templates exist other than the ones taught in schools. The writers of "They Say, I Say' seek to convey that these "other" templates provide a structured pattern of ideas that lead to well formed arguments. Using an opposing arguments, to your argument, is proposed to be the better alternative in writing an debate essay. Although templates serve ...show more content... Numerous amounts of individuals consider templates to provide a clearer way of writing, and may help a writer focus on delivering a point without overstating facts. • 4. APA Reflective Essay a) Hannah is a friendly and approachable teacher. She creates a positive atmosphere that makes us feel comfortable when answering questions. The start of her lesson are engaging and we enjoy the topics that she covers during her lessons. However, she sometimes goes too slowly when giving feedback or when she is teaching grammar, she will spend a long time at the board which can sometimes get boring. But the speaking tasks at the end of her lessons allow us to practise the new language and to discuss interesting topics that have been covered during the lesson. b) I feel that some of my strengths are: Board work because it is generally commented on in my feedback. I feel that this is something that I could work on and would be a nice thing to incorporate into more of my lessons. I think that Lucas uses the board effectively when giving demonstrations and explanations. In TP1 he used a timeline to explain the past perfect continuous. His example sentence was: "I was sleeping when Brazil lost." and successfully conveyed the meaning through a timeline. He also uses the board for demonstrations of questions in tasks to check that the students understand what they are meant to be doing. I feel that using this technique would ensure that my instructions are clearer. What I'd like to emulate from observations of Ih teachers: Derek's lesson on emotions to the Pre Intermediate was particularly enjoyable and effective because of his enthusiasm. He also moved the students around so that they were able to work in different pairs. This was effective in the lesson as the students strengths and weaknesses were easily recognised by pairing them with different students. It also broke the lesson up nicely. I feel that this is something that I could incorporate into my own lessons more often as it is useful for students to get speaking practise with more than one Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Depression Case Study Essay This paper introduces a 35–year–old female who is exhibiting signs of sadness, lack of interest in daily activities and suicidal tendencies. She has no interest in hobbies, which have been very important to her in the past. Her lack of ambition and her suicidal tendencies are causing great concern for her family members. She is also exhibiting signs of hypersomnia, which will put her in dangerous situations if left untreated. The family has great concern about her leaving the hospital at this time, fearing that she may be a danger to herself. A treatment plan and ethical considerations will be discussed. Evidence–based clinical treatment CBT has shown to be as useful as antidepressant medication for individuals with depression and is superior in preventing relapse. Clients receiving CBT for all depression disorders are encouraged to schedule activities in order to increase the amount of pleasure they experience. In addition, depressed patients learn how to restructure negative thought patterns in order to interpret their environment in a less biased way. CBT for Bipolar Disorder and the high–risk depressed client is used as an adjunct to medication treatment and focuses on psychoeducation about the disorder and understanding cues and triggers for relapse. The client will have more reason to gain more confidence in them. Studies indicate Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 7. What Is Religion? Essay What is religion? Each person's definition of religion is different. Each person's faith is different. This is a question that has been asked for centuries, and regardless of the answer given there is no right or wrong answer. Religion can be defined as a group of people who have shared beliefs who feel their life has purpose or meaning. This feeling or belief that their life has meaning can come from outside of themselves, as well as within. Taking this one step further, these shared beliefs put into action in the form of worship, can be easily identified because they happen regularly. It can be said the Primal religions were in fact not religions. Some may argue Confucianism is not a religion. Others may say Taoism is not a...show more content... They are teachings learned by previous generations then passed down, they are not always actions. The fifth feature of religion is grace. Grace is defined by Smith as "the belief and assurance that reality is on our side and can be counted on." Lastly there is mystery. For this there is no exact definition, but it is all of what a religion cannot explain, it is all that the human mind cannot grasp, it is the certain "higher power" that religion offers. Of these six features, there are three that are present in most all religions, they are: authority, tradition, and mystery. Authority, tradition, and mystery further explore and define religion when looking specifically at Primal Religions, Confucianism, and Taoism. Primal Religions are often mistaken to be the religion of the primitive man, often thought to be unintelligent. There is a definition of "primal" that is better suited than unintelligent or primitive. Primal in terms of religion, refers to the lack of exposure to technology, it is not "knowing" the state of consciousness given to many by the technological environment. Primal religions preceded organized religion as we know it today by thousands of years, in some cases millions, but are still present in the world today; we now call them tribal religions. Within primal religions there are people who are knowledgeable about life, who are knowledgeable about Defining Religion–4 traditions, and who are Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Clinical Rotation Plan Essay 5.1 PERSONAL CONTEXT: Personally I understand clinical rotation as side by side complement to nursing education because without the clinical experience the student will nit acquire the basic objectives of nursing education. Clinical rotation plan is a regular successive and recurrent posting of various groups of nursing students belonging to different classes in specific nursing fields. I also understand that for clinical rotation plan to be successful, the objectives must be clearly stated so that it can be evaluated if the objectives are met or not. In planning the clinical rotation, the number of areas where the student will acquire the experience and the education of the clinical posting must be considered. I also know that the students should not be left alone in the clinical areas without thorough supervision. The teacher has important role to play if the clinical experience will be successful. • 9. The National Safety And Quality Health Service Demonstrate Reflection: Form, Present and Support Own Opinions The National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standard 2 Partnering with Consumers requires all health professionals to provide consumer–centred care and to design the care in partnership with the patient and the family (Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in health Care, 2012). The NSQHS Standards (2012) identified patient and family–centred care and engagement as one of the national priorities. As such, in order to improve patients' safety outcomes and reduce hospital acquired conditions and readmissions and provide client centred services, the IPE recognized the need for effective interprofessional teams to collaborate and engage patients and families by implementing IPE core structures and processes (Brewer & Jones, 2013). The Curtin University's ICF encompasses five interprofessional capabilities: "reflection, communication, team function, conflict resolution, and role clarification" (Brewer & Jones, 2013, p. e47). The purpose of ICF is to guide and assist health care students for collaborative practice to deliver safe and high quality care, and client–centred care (Curtin University, 2011). Therefore, health science students are expected to be competent in all skills and meet the criteria outlined in Curtin University' ICF. This online 3 week IPE workshop gave me opportunities to develop the skills specified in ICF in particular communication and team function. Reflecting on the team Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Then I will continue with what I liked about my speech and what I thought I succeeded in. Finally, I will move on to the areas where I think I can improve on. My speech had a clear specific purpose, which I accomplished in the time given. It was well organized in the formal and keyword outline, as well as the speech that was given. There was clear distinction between my introduction, my body paragraphs, and my conclusion; and, I think the points transitioned together smoothly. I think for the speech it was difficult to know how much research I should actually do. When I was writing the speech, I could not organize my thoughts until I had a working title. My title helped me pull my speech together because it helped me realize something that I already knew but was not clearly stated in my speech: stress is unavoidable. It was important for me to emphasize that stress and stressors are an unavoidable part of life, and that perfectly healthy and natural. Also, stress, and anything psychology related, has always been an interest of mine, so this was a fun topic for me. However, I have a lot to say about the topic that I did not say because of time and because of the simple fact that if I wanted to go deeper into the topic, the audience would have gotten bored. The audience's interest in my speech play a big part in what I chose to talk about because I wanted them to connect with something in my speech, for example, that is why I chose to talk about what makes college students stressed. If I did not take the audience's interest into consideration, then my entire speech would have looked at psychology's interpretation of what stress is, but that would have probably bored the class. • 11. My Desire And Passion For Helping Others My desire and passion for helping others is intertwine with my personal and professional life experiences. Growing up in Guatemala, a third world country, helped me become the person I am today. My first twelve years in my native country taught me lessons that changed my perspective and shaped who I am and who I want to be in the future. From a young age, I had this great admiration for nature and in Guatemala I was able to admire it. I remember endless nights looking at the stars and patiently waiting for a shooting star. Nature was my play room. Life in Guatemala was beautiful but it wasn't easy. It was not until I came to the United States that I begin to realize how much my mother had sheltered me from the violence and poverty that surrounded us. Sadly, my beautiful country is fill with corruption. The rich exploit the poor and laws are created to protect does in power regardless of their wrongdoing. In Guatemala, women are treated unequally because our society has rigid gender roles and has created a culture that takes pride in masculinity and machismo. It was well known in my small village that if a man found a female attractive and wanted her for himself he could "robarte" which translates to "steal you." My mother and many other women in my family experienced this. My father was a policeman in Guatemala and he was attracted to my mother. My mother, on the other hand, was not looking for any serious relationship because she was only 17 years old. The city closest to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Essay about Training and Development Training and development has become increasingly essential to the success of modern organisations, yet some still look at training as a problem or as something that is not taken seriously. Training and development is one key approach used by organisations to improve and maintain the capabilities of its workforce. However, many experts distinguish between training and development, being that training tends to be more closely focused and adapted towards short–term performance concerns, while development tends to be adapted more towards expanding an individual's skills for future responsibilities (Snell and Bohlander 2007). The main reason that organisations train their employees is to bring their knowledge, skills and abilities up to the...show more content... Furthermore, spoiled work, damages, and accidents to equipment and machinery can be kept to a minimum by well trained employees, continued training helps employees develop their ability to learn by adapting themselves to new work methods, learning to use new kinds of equipment, and adjusting to major changes in work relationships and job content, also, through training, new employees learn to measure up to standards for performance, thereby satisfying their human need for personal growth and increasing their value to the organisation (Pigors and Myers 1977). Similarly, Longenecker and Fink (2005) assert that the benefits derived from training are manifold, and these include; exposure to new and better practices and ideas for application, leads to reflection, self–appraisal and retrospection, motivates employees to improve performance, encourages career development planning, helps identify specific performance problems and challenges an employee to think differently, to name a few. Other benefits are a more flexible workforce, improved performance of existing employees, decreased supervision, higher skill levels and reduced learning time, thus reducing learning costs, improved organisation morale, and to ensure for succession (Molander 1989). It means what people will always remember you by. I want my legacy to inspire others and make them feel like sometimes the only thing you can do is give kindness. I also think quirkiness can be a great legacy too. To me, kindness and quirkiness is the key to life. I would like it if people would remember me by the little quirky things. I don't want people to remember me by how famous I was or how many cars I had. I want people to remember that I didn't like the color orange or that I hate barbeque chips. • 14. Aesthetics Essays Aesthetics Kant defined aesthetic as both, "the analysis of taste and the analysis of sensible cognition or intuition" . Aesthesis, means "sensation", the Greeks made a distinction between aesthesis autophues (natural sensation) and aesthesis epistemonike (acquired sensation). We may say that aesthetics is both the study of aesthetic objects and of the specific and subjective reactions of observers, readers, or audiences to the work of art. Aesthetics is necessarily interdisciplinary and may be interpretive, prescriptive, descriptive, or a combination of these. The big, obvious question about aesthetic value is whether it is ever 'really in' the objects it is attributed to. This issue parallels the realism/anti–realism debates...show more content... The third factor in aesthetic response is thought to be 'disinterestedness'. The idea is that the pleasurable experience of attending to something in perception should not consist in liking a thing only because it fulfills some definite function, satisfies a desire, or lives up to a prior standard or principle. There are subjective responses which we are justified in demanding from others: these are not idiosyncratic likes and dislikes, but deeply rooted in our common nature as experiencing subjects, and founded on a pleasurable response to the form of the object as it is presented in perception. This means, among other things, "aesthetic value cannot be enshrined in learnable principles". There are no genuine aesthetic principles, because to find aesthetic value we must, "get a look at the object with our own eyes". Aesthetic judgments are founded upon the slender basis of one's own feeling of pleasure, but can justifiably claim the universal agreement if the subjective response in question is one that which any properly equipped observer would have. Sometimes it is assumed that the prime interest in art is aesthetic, but that assumption bears some examination. Unless "aesthetic stretches to cover everything conceivable that is of value in art, art may have values which are not Get more content on HelpWriting.net

We focused on the data driven needs of the campus based on the previous year's State Assessment results. The campus needed to do well enough on last year's assessments so that it would be removed from both the state PEG list and the Improvement Required list. When looking at assessment data and its effect on the schools Needs Assessment, it showed that the areas that needed the most improvement from the previous year were being addressed in the CIP for the coming year. In the conversation with the principal, he explained there has not been a limit placed on the funds available for these needs on the campus. He continued by saying that monies for this will be found and allocated as the need arises. These changes on the campus have caused a major change to the schools culture, climate, and communication on campus. The teachers have been able to plan more effectively and without interruption due to staff meetings. This allows better classroom lessons to be developed by the teachers, which helps the students to achieve greater success on assessments. The teachers feel that material, which is supported through cross–curricular instruction, is being done in an effective manner. Extra planning days on Saturdays has also helped the teachers to be better prepared for the classroom in all subjects and grade levels. • 16. Smoke Signals Film Analysis This review will discuss the film Smoke Signals directed by Chris Eyre, screenplay by Sherman Alexie. The film is good because it is a movie that grabs the viewer's attention with the adventure it portrays in the film and the impact that it leaves at the end of the film. In this review, I will talk about the details of the film as a whole to show what made it interesting. Also, this paper will talk about other movies to compare and contrast against Smoke Signals. And finally, this paper will discuss what makes a good movie in film standards. The film Smoke Signals is a good movie that many people should take time to look at it. The film follows the story of Victor, who has father issues as a young boy and as a young man. In the film, they focus on two characters: Victor and Thomas. Victor is a tough guy but he has dad issues. The other character is Thomas, who is slow to understand the situation but means well when he tells his story. In the beginning of the film, Thomas' house is on fire, and Victor's dad saves him from the fire but his parents do not make it out. As the years pass, Victor is growing up with his father while Thomas is living with his grandmother. Victor's dad is never the same after the fire; he acts different by being more drunk or just not being a good father. Then one day, Victor's mom and dad have an argument with each other and Victor's dad picks up his stuff, takes their truck and drives away. The film transitions to a period that is years later. • 17. Climate Change, An Outline Essay Climate Change Topics: 1) What is climate change? 2) Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change 3) Causes of climate change 4) Effects of climate change? 5) International Panels on Climate Change 6) What can be done at home? 1) What is climate change? Climate Change is the significant change in the climate and distribution of weather patterns on Earth ranging from the last decade to millennia earlier. 2) Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Currently chaired by Mr. Rajendra Pachauri, this organisation was setup in 1988 by two United Nations organizations, the World Meteorological Organisation and the United Nations Environment Programme. IPCC reports on the scientific, technical and socio–economic information needed to understand the...show more content... Without this layer of gases the Earth would be too cold to be inhabited, perhaps 20 degrees cooler than now. But, then amount of gases in this layer must remain constant. Even a slight increase could have drastic results. Many people believe that a one degree increase in the temperature will not cause much harm. The truth is with every degree of increase in temperature a 100 more wildlife species are put in danger of extinction. Numerous experiments and studies prove that an increased level of greenhouse gases, mainly carbon dioxide, is causing climate change and causing it fast. 2) Human Activities A) Burning of fossil fuels–This is the most prominent and deadly source of climate change. Burning of fossil fuels can release greenhouse gases ranging from carbon dioxide to ammonia. With massive industrialization currently going on, the amount of fossil fuels burned is increasing. Transport and heating are also major energy sources. Almost 7 giga tonnes of Carbon dioxide is emitted per year. In the U.K three–fourths of energy produced comes from fossil fuels. Mineral fuels like petroleum and coal are major sources of energy. In the last 150 years more than 45 Billion tonnes of carbon dioxide has been emitted .The most problematic factor is that in the last decade; there has been no slowdown in carbon emissions. B) Poor use of land–Plants are the only natural purifiers of air and also the most abundant. But, many trees Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. Executive Summary Problem Statement What actions can Texas take to improve its health care delivery system? Background Texas level of performance ranks among the worst in areas of health care access and health care prevention and treatment. Limited health carriers, primary care practitioner shortages, and emergency room overuse prevent Texas from offering a better health care delivery system. Options Option One–Texas would be able to identify super–utilizers, reduce their emergency room visits, and direct them to outpatient care services through a hot–spotting initiative. Option Two–Through Integrated Practice Units, patients with complex health issues would receive support from a multidisciplinary team focused on increasing access to...show more content... Another 587 practitioners are needed to resolve the shortage (KFF, 2017). Texas also has high emergency department use. The ED visit rate in Texas is 49 visits per 100 people (NCHS, 2012). Texas' overall ranking indicates a need to improve access and health care prevention and treatment (quality). The following options offer solutions to improve Texas' health care delivery system. OptionsOption One Texas can adopt a "hot–spotting" initiative to identify super–utilizers and direct them toward outpatient resources. Super–utilizers are patients with hard–to–manage and complex chronic conditions. Their chronic conditions worsen over time, which leads to more expensive, invasive and risky treatment (Camden, 2017). Hot–spotting uses data to identify super–utilizers. It also uses data to understand the cause of high ED use, to allocate resources, and to design effective interventions (Camden, 2017). Effective interventions will improve the patient's ability to access needed care and services outside the emergency departments and hospitals. New Jersey's hot–spotting initiative called upon AmeriCorps volunteers to help connect super–utilizers to outpatient resources and accompany patients to appointments, coordinate medications, determine benefit eligibility and offer emotional support (Martinez et al., 2016). The coalition's founder, Dr. Jeffrey Brenner, reported a 50 percent drop in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
