Random Acts Of Kindness Analysis
Random Acts of Kindness During the week, I decided to engage in some "simple" acts of
kindness that some people may overlook on a daily basis. The last two, I had done previously,
but chose to list them here so that I can discuss my experience. I opted to do the following deeds:
I let someone go ahead of me in the supermarket. I waited to hold the door open for someone. I
picked up two women with a baby, who were caught in the rain as they tried to make their way to
Walmart. I purchased a lunch for two young boys who were sitting behind my sister and me. I
picked up someone who needed a ride into town and bought them a meal from Mcdonalds. As I
was doing these deeds, I found that most of them came naturally; however, it was partly due to
how I was raised, but most importantly, because I was lead by the Holy Spirit. Whenever a need
must be met, I fill it if I am able. I find that anytime I do something good for someone else, whether
in secret or publicly, I benefit either way because it makes me "feel good." I try to get honest and
introspective with myself asking, "Why do I/we do good deeds?" What is the motivation behind it

"For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire
to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out" (Romans, 7:18). I find that even when I do carry it out
if I am honest with myself, many times it is probably for self–gratification. In all of our depravity,
can we honestly say we did it out of the kindness of our hearts? Scripture tells us our hearts are
"desperately wicked" (Jeremiah 17:9). I have no good, nor is there goodness in me apart from
Christ (Psalm 16:2). I say that because Christ Himself said no one is good, and that all of us have
gone astray. "There is no one who does good, not even one" (Romans 3:12, New International
Version). Any fragment of goodness that shines through my life is Christ alone– not me. It is all

Through various volunteering experiences, a smile from those I served gave me a sense of
satisfaction. Therefore, I want to inspire people to help others, even through random acts of
kindness. From people helping a community to a community maintaining order within the nation, a
difference from an individual can bring change in the entire world.

Definition Essay: An Act Of Kindness
An act of kindness is a spontaneous gesture of goodwill towards someone or something. Random
acts of kindness can be anything from volunteering at a hospice center, volunteering at animal
shelters, doing community service, or even giving a stranger a compliment. Throughout my life,
I've always tried to be kind to people in some way. In elementary I volunteered with special needs
kids, I was considered a pal. My job as a pal was to talk to them, play with them, and help them
with anything they needed. They needed love and support and I was that person to give it to them.
In high school, my act of kindness was going back to my middle school to help coach track for the
middle schoolers. Those are some of the many things I've done to be kind,

Acts of Kindness are important characteristics of a human being. People can easily change
moments in others' lives with simple acts of kindness. About a year ago I experienced something
that I never thought I would have to. I had to take my mom to the hospital, where she would have
to stay for a week. Going back and forth from the hospital and my house, resulted in not wanting
to do anything else. My best friend Andrew took the time and helped me through it by surprising
me and cheering me up until my mom came home. If she was in the hospital, he would make sure
I was fine. He would always push his problems aside to make sure I was okay. It was the
beginning of June, I had just gotten out of school for summer break and I started to work all the
time. My mom didn't feel good for the past couple of days and she had told me she believed it was
just a cold. As June 12th came around I knew something was wrong when in the early morning
around six o'clock, my aunt ran into my room and frantically yelled, "Your mom needs you now!"
Anxiousness overcame me because I knew she wasn't feeling the best lately. I ran as fast as I
could to my mom's room and saw her in complete distress. I asked her what was wrong and she
told me her leg, as I looked down not just her leg, but her foot too was swollen three times the
normal size. Looking at her in so much pain she told me, barely above a whisper "I called your
brother, he will be here soon." At that moment, she was not going to be stubborn

The Four Acts Of Kindness
In this video, it is about a normal man living in a big city. While he's walking the streets of the
city he does a total of four kind acts of kindness. The first act of kindness was when he was
walking on the sideway when a gutter from a building poured out onto him. There was a dead
plant next to him on the sidewalk so instead of the water splattering on the sidewalk he placed the
dead plant underneath it. That was the first day, the second day he walked by the plant and
smiled, the third day the plant was healthy and beautiful, and growing. The second act of kindness
he does is helping an older lady who can't get her food cart over a curb. He jogs over to her and
picks up her cart to get it over the curb. The third act of kindness is giving money to a homeless
little girl and her mom. They are holding a can and in front of the can is a sign that says "for
education." The man looks in his wallet and he pulls out money and places it in the can. A man
nearby watching shakes his head in disbelief as the man hands the "beggars" money. The fourth
act of kindness is giving an old lady bananas, he hangs the bananas on the door knob of her
apartment. He knocks and he simply walks away, not being awarded or known for his acts of
kindness. Each day the man repeats the acts of kindness helping the people out. He doesn't get
richer, or more famous for his actions. The only award he gets is the award of emotions. In the end,

This video makes you think of how you want to become a nicer and kinder person. It made me
feel like I wanted to go help someone out who is having harder times than me. The video shows
three days the guy would help out someone or something each day. After every day, the thing or
person would get better and happier, which is shown as a reward. The leap of happiness, in the end,
makes you smile at how kind and caring some people are, and how some people are so

Topic: random acts of kindness
Specific purpose statement: To motivate my audience to use random acts of kindness.
Central idea: Random acts of kindness can brighten someone's day, save lives and change the world.
The Attention Step
In 2004, Jessica LaGrossa's sister and parents moved from Atlanta to Pittsburgh to pursue
treatment for her sister's ongoing battle with a deadly disease. The people around them were
friendly and supportive, and the surgeries and recovery went well, but LaGrossa began to worry
about her mother, who was growing tired and withdrawn. LaGrossa got her mom interested in
making cards and small crafts as a hobby, but because of the expenses of her medical treatment, she
didn't have the budget to continue. LaGrossa reached out for help on online message boards, and to
her surprise hundreds of people helped out, sending her mom cards and craft supplies.(LaGrossa)
In this story, we see an example of a random act of kindness.
I have become increasingly interested in random acts of kindness and I've done a lot of research,
and learned about how they can impact our lives in positive ways.
Random acts of kindness can brighten someone's day, save a life and even change the world.
Transition: so what's so helpful about random acts of kindness? II. The Need Step
Everywhere in the world, someone out there is having a bad day.
So bad that 17.5% of Americans suffer from depression each year. (Drexler)

Random Acts of Kindness for this Holiday Season Many children are taught that Christmas is
when you receive gifts from others, but what they don't find much joy in doing is giving, instead.
Whether it costs money or not, it does not matter, it's the thought that counts. Imagine comparing
the joy a homeless person would have compared to a child while receiving clothes, the child
would probably frown since they were most likely expecting a toy and the homeless person
would be overjoyed since they barely have anything. We have to give thanks for what we have, so
we may help to serve those of us who have nearly nothing. To help out those in need, or maybe not
even those in need, we may do a variety of things, a few examples I thought of could...show more

Most of the options on my list involve using money, however there are definitely random acts of
kindness that you may do without using any money. If you can't afford to give/use money to/for
others in need, you may simply give someone a compliment, rake a friend/neighbour's leaves, help
someone with their groceries, or even just a simple smile. This Holiday season, I hope to be able
to find the time to read a book to a young child at my school. Reading books of their choice would
obviously benefit them, since they're having a good relaxing time while listening to someone
read a book to them, and it would be free of charge. The children I read to would benefit from this
act of kindness, as explained previously, but reading aloud would also be beneficial for me as a
student. It would be beneficial for me as well since I would be able to practice my ability of
speaking out loud to a small audience, this would help me to improve my public speaking skills as
well as how I act around young children (this is necessary since I want to be a pediatrician in the
future). In conclusion, giving is so important, not always to benefit you in some way or another, but
to help out others who may not

With the role models I have, my parents, I was taught a great number of things. One of them was
how to be initially kind. In reflection of my life with them, their embodiment of kindness has
guided me through my adolescent life and well into my adult life. Everything that I am, I have
learned through watching my parents interact through the society around them. In the following
section, I will discuss how patience can be considered an act of kindness, as well as omitting the
facts to save a loved one's sense of self and reputation and how one woman sacrificed her personal
space to make sure those she cared about around her were comfortable. Furthermore, the kindness
shown to me through my parent's greetings and goodbyes and a quote from my...show more content...
Hamrick, Hamrick supports my father's actions by saying one can be kind through acts of
omission. This is exactly what my father did for me in this job mix up. The interpersonal
relationship I have with the collective that is my parents has shaped my view on society when I
was younger and as an adult. Erving Goffman in his Relations in Public text, spends a whole
chapter on that of the territories of self. While proxemics describes personal space to be a marker
from .1 to 1.5 ft and social distance to range from 4 to 12 feet, Goffman would say that those areas
are not so clearly defined as personal space can be ever changing. I would argue that this personal
space can be something much larger, a home. When a person is within their house, everything is
theirs. In the case of roommates, some people feel violated just knowing there is something else in
the house not living there even if that person was invited over. This possibility of a person feeling
this violation grows larger as time passes. Why would someone put themselves in the position to
have their personal space violated, in this case personal space being a house? What if the reason
this violation is tolerable because it is inferior to the possible act of kindness that it is presenting?
This example is why I believe my mother has shown me how to be kind through sacrifice. My mother
sacrificed her own personal space, her home, to invite relatives to

An Act Of Kindness In America
Even just the smallest act of kindness can have a great impact on someone's life. Kindness is
showing concern for someone without expecting something in return. Jesse Jackson once said,
"Never look down on anybody unless you're helping him up." He was a civil rights activist who
expressed kindness to a great number of people. In Chicago, his kindness affected many people, but
mostly women and African Americans in 1964. He showed kindness by leading many rallies and
peaceful protests to accomplish his goal of making sure the rights of Americans were protected. If
teens commit at least one act of kindness in their school or community every day, the world would
be a better place. Teens today, can implement the community with kindness by visiting

Does Act Of Kindness Affect The Giver
Acts of kindness affect the giver, the receiver, and any onlookers. For example, in the article,
"Teaching Kindness" the author states, "This boost in happiness occurs not only in the giver and
receiver of kindness, but also in anyone who witnesses it." This shows that whenever a person gives,
their own happiness is boosted. The receiver is happier because they are receiving, and anyone who
sees the act of kindness becomes happier too. This happens because kindness is contagious; seeing
an act of kindness makes the witness want to be kind as well. Furthermore, in my kindness journal I
mentioned how I listened to someone tell me about a rough time they were going through. This
effects me and the person because whenever I listened to his problems

Random acts of kindness/ pay it forward. First lets describe what a random act of kindness is. In
describing a random act of kindness I would say a random act of kindness is something that you
would do without looking for a reward in return. Doing a selfless act and wanting to help someone
or Just assist, while putting someone in a better mood better tan the mood that they were in before
you did this act. I researched that this act may be coined by Anne Herbert, who written practice
random acts of kindness and acts of beauty while she was at a restaurant on a place mat. In
describing what I did my random act of kindness was something that society is doing to random
people could pay it forward. Pay it forward is more of a third party doing...show more content...
This concept should not be done because you feel that you owe; instead it should do because you
want to help and assist. It is not repaying a debt, but as some may say you are passing a gift along
to others. But that Is the best terminology that I could put my words in at the moment. Such as
making a donation without any recognition. After the donation is made just ask or leave a card
notifying the person to do the same for someone else who may be in need. And let them know
that the deed is called pay it forward there is no timeline or certain amount hat is due. just ask that
one day when you can just pay it forward and recognize what you can do to help a person that is
in need or by just giving a person a break from time to time. Because you feel it in your heart to do
so at that moment and time.Therefor as for me task at hand, I was on my way to my daughters
graduation to the second grade and when I arrived to find out that I showed up a little early. So I
decided to go have breakfast at a local waffle house. While eating I noticed a table of three. A male a

Kindness Definition Essay
Kindness. Kindness is like the season Autumn. It carries the golden, red, orange, and yellow leaves
from one tree to the next, gathering more and more leaves until a whole assortment of leaves is
blowing in the breeze. Just like Autumn, Kindness spreads as it is passed on from person to person.
Kindness brings joy, happiness, and friendship as it flows from one act to the next like a river
splitting into several directions. Kindness brings people together, like the thousands leaves blowing
and bunching onto someone's just–raked lawn.
Kindness can be demonstrated in a number of forms. At school, in home, around neighborhoods,
during after school activities, and anywhere else you can imagine. An act of KIndness does not have
to change the world,

College Admissions Essay: Random Acts Of Kindness
Random acts of kindness matter to me. I've been taught since I was little to be nice to everyone.
In elementary school, we would get "Random Acts of Kindness" slips if we helped teachers or
classmates. There was a raffle at lunch, and whoever won would get the greatly coveted ice cream
sandwich from the lunch line. I was so proud when I got one of those small colored slips that
validated my act of kindness.
One day, my brother and I were standing in a movie theater lobby, fighting over what to get to eat.
A person nearby, who we've never met before, overheard our dispute and asked whatfood my brother
wanted. My brother, a little taken back, shyly answered, "popcorn". Without giving it much thought,
we resumed arguing. By the time we got

Complete Three Random Acts Of Kindness
For this project I chose to complete three random acts of kindness. The first random act of
kindness that I completed was done at the University of Saskatchewan campus. One afternoon, I
wrote the same message on roughly 10 different flashcards. My plan for this act was to pass out
flashcards with kind messages on them and pass them out to students in Murray Library.
Attached to the flashcards was two mini chocolate bars. The message read "Good luck studying
for midterms! You can do this. I hope this little treat helps you get through our day." The day after
I finished writing all the messages and attaching the chocolate bars, I proceeded to walk around
Murray Library and pass them out the strangers. I intended to approach individuals who were
sitting by themselves because I people who were by themselves would appreciate it more.
Individuals who were sitting in group of people may have been distracted by their friends in order to
sincerely take in the random act of kindness. Additionally, I did not want to approach groups of
people because then I would feel obliged to give every person in that group a flashcard and some
chocolate. The reason why I wanted to do this specific act of kindness is because I wanted to do
everything in my power to make a stranger happy. During the time of midterm exams students are
very stressed out. Students, including myself at times, are constantly worried about their results, the
possibility of failure, and how much time one needs

An Act of Kindness that I did for someone would be for my parents.
What I did as kindness would be that I help my mom do chores at home without them telling me
to help. I will see that they where always working hard and they will come home preatty late. So I
kind of took care of home and my two brothers. and sometimes my dad too when he felt really bad,
what I mean by bad would be that he had lukimia cancer. My mother work as a babysitter she will go
to work mostly of the time at 6am and come back at 10pm and on weekends she would clean
houses so she never had time to do chores at home or make dinner. My father worked in
construction he was a hard worker too he will go to work a little later than my mom and come home

I liked helping at home and taking care of my dad when he didnt work giving him his medication
and making food for him and be there for what he needed when he would come home from the
hospital i would help him walk him to the bathroom leave hes cloths ready for when he was done
taking shower have averything ready for him since he was really weak when he came out from
his kimos. its sad to so him like that he didnt like me to help him he would be moudy all the time .
But thats how it is the doctors told us that it was normal for him to be like that its because they
get fustrtated that they can do nothing on there own . We had to be extra patient because they get
mad for any little thing. But Ill still like taking care of my father i love my father verry much it
did not bother me helping wat so ever. thirdly I would also help my mom clean house on the
weekends so we could finish sooner and get home soon . So she can spend time with us at home
and I spend time with my baby too and relax a little . My mom would clean houses on the
weekends to make extra money because with my dad sick sometimes he could not work or he will
spend a month or two in the hospital . she needed that extra money for when my dad did not work
she can pay the house and bills food and all expenses.
Finally I see that everything i did was act ofkindness and is a really nice think to do for my parents

Small Act Of Kindness Definition
Small acts of kindness can have impacts on others. I was watching a video in my english class
and the video showed how hard it is for people in Syria to live. There was a group of people who
came and helped the Syrians and got some of them out. That changed the lives of those people.
Small acts of kindness can change lives, can encourage others to do good things and make
someone feel better. For example someone might be really depressed and what if another person
gave them a small smile then maybe that would make them feel better or at least a bit happier.
Small acts of kindness are very important to the world. If everyone did something kind once in a
while the world would be a better place. Imagine how many good things could come out of a
small act of kindness. To begin with, small acts of kindness can change lives. A few days ago I
watched a video in my english class the video was about a man named Kevin Richardson. Kevin
Richardson used to work at a place where people can come and pet lions up close. When these
lions get older the owner sells the lions to a place where these people go and hunt the lions for
entertainment. Kevin decided to buy twenty six lions from the place where he worked. People call

I know if someone smiles at me it makes my day somewhat better. I watched a video where a little
girl was crying and a boy came up and gave her a flower. In an instant that girl stopped crying and
she smiled. That flower made her feel a bit better and maybe that boy who gave her the flower felt
better as a person also. If that happened more often the world would be a better place and maybe it
would not be as cruel as it is today. Small acts of kindness are so important maybe I do not feel
well and someone pats me on the shoulder then I might feel better in some way. Even if someone
holds a door open for me then I would be somewhat

Imagine someone in need of kindness. What can be done? When performing acts of kindness it
will affects others enormously. Humble deeds of kindness can impact others by putting them in a
good mood, encouraging them to pass on the kindness, and boosting their confidence. The first
way acts of kindness can impact others is to by putting someone in a good mood. For instance, if
someone is getting bullied at school, trying to be their friend may help them. Also, their day might
be off to a bad start and by being there for them will maybe improve their feelings . Therefore, if
somebody sees someone who is down, be there for them. Second, performing acts of kindness can

In the text, "Random Acts Of Kindness Defines Who We Really Are," the author is writing to not
only inform the reader about what the around a person who might judge you or say something
about you that you don't like. The author makes many diverse quotes that has the same effect as
the one above throughout the entire text, these types of quotes gives examples for the quote that
was stated early. One example from the text states, "Small acts of kindness like leaving a meal for
a homeless person or paying off a stranger's layaway balance at Kmart, start trends with more people
getting in on the act because they are such feel–good stories." The author uses this effects of being

An Act of Kindness: A Persuasive Essay
An Act of Kindness
(Order #A2071175) There is a commercial on television, I forget what for, where one person
performs a small act of kindness towards another, followed by that person helping someone else,
and so on. The message here is that each act of kindness has a ripple effect throughout society and
can effect people who we do not even know exist. There is also a secondary lesson of this
commercial: eventually the acts of kindness return to the original person, indicating that kindness
can be circular and if we want to live in a society where people do nice things for one another, then
it begins and ends with us. This commercial indicates that acts of kindness are a way to improve
society and an individual's overall life. With this is mind, I would like to convey an example of how
I have been able to do my part in the overall circle of kindness by aiding a stranger who's car
battery had died and needed a jump. It began on my way home one day when I was forced to stop
for gas. At the gas station I was minding my own business when a stranger approached me and
asked if I had a set of jumper cables and if I could give him a jump. As a teenager being
approached by a grown man asking for help, thoughts of being kidnapped, tortured and murdered
filled my imagination. As he approached, my immediate reaction was to hope he would leave me
alone and continue walking, but he did not. Instead he came straight up to me and asked for my
help. I wanted to say that I did not have a

Acts Of Kindness Definition
In America, acts of kindness are becoming more rare. In my opinion, kindness is an act of
generosity or compassion toward another person. Random acts of kindness are my favorite
expressions of kindness because they are unexpected acts of generosity, usually toward a complete
stranger. This could be anything from paying for someone's morning coffee to helping someone
pick up something they dropped. Seeing the smile on their face is the most rewarding part, along
with the feeling of personal satisfaction. In my life, I have seen my fair share of gracious acts. My
favorite, and most memorable, personal experience with kindness occurred when I was a senior in
high school. During my senior year I had the opportunity to take a psychology course...show more

It was at the end of the day, just like the other class, and Abby was in it too. It became the best part
of my day. Mrs. Thompson quickly became something like a mother figure to us, and we started
calling her Mama T. Now, it is common knowledge that teaching is stressful, but second semester
the stress hit her hard. She was given an awful student teacher. This student teacher had no clue
what she was doing and was mean to most students but in more of a bullying way. Mama T
quickly started to dread coming in to work. My friend Abby and I hated seeing her like this. She
confided in us about how she disliked her student teacher, and how she felt unappreciated by
students in the building. We knew we had to do something to show how much she meant to all of
us. We decided to throw her a surprise Mother's Day party. We got the whole class in on it and got
pizza, a cookie cake, soda, flowers, and a huge card. The tricky part was getting her out of her
room long enough to set up. We enlisted two English teachers who she went to lunch with
everyday, to occupy her. On the Friday before Mother's Day, the plan was in full swing. We
headed to her room, but little did we know they were heading back from a little lunch. We had to
quickly hide until she had gone into her friend's classroom. We got in and got all set up and gave
the signal. When she entered, we all yelled "We love you, Mama T!!" She was shocked. She

Act Of Kindness Essay

  • 1. Random Acts Of Kindness Analysis Random Acts of Kindness During the week, I decided to engage in some "simple" acts of kindness that some people may overlook on a daily basis. The last two, I had done previously, but chose to list them here so that I can discuss my experience. I opted to do the following deeds: I let someone go ahead of me in the supermarket. I waited to hold the door open for someone. I picked up two women with a baby, who were caught in the rain as they tried to make their way to Walmart. I purchased a lunch for two young boys who were sitting behind my sister and me. I picked up someone who needed a ride into town and bought them a meal from Mcdonalds. As I was doing these deeds, I found that most of them came naturally; however, it was partly due to how I was raised, but most importantly, because I was lead by the Holy Spirit. Whenever a need must be met, I fill it if I am able. I find that anytime I do something good for someone else, whether in secret or publicly, I benefit either way because it makes me "feel good." I try to get honest and introspective with myself asking, "Why do I/we do good deeds?" What is the motivation behind it ...show more content... "For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out" (Romans, 7:18). I find that even when I do carry it out if I am honest with myself, many times it is probably for self–gratification. In all of our depravity, can we honestly say we did it out of the kindness of our hearts? Scripture tells us our hearts are "desperately wicked" (Jeremiah 17:9). I have no good, nor is there goodness in me apart from Christ (Psalm 16:2). I say that because Christ Himself said no one is good, and that all of us have gone astray. "There is no one who does good, not even one" (Romans 3:12, New International Version). Any fragment of goodness that shines through my life is Christ alone– not me. It is all Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Therefore, I want to inspire people to help others, even through random acts of kindness. • 3. Definition Essay: An Act Of Kindness An act of kindness is a spontaneous gesture of goodwill towards someone or something. Random acts of kindness can be anything from volunteering at a hospice center, volunteering at animal shelters, doing community service, or even giving a stranger a compliment. Throughout my life, I've always tried to be kind to people in some way. In elementary I volunteered with special needs kids, I was considered a pal. My job as a pal was to talk to them, play with them, and help them with anything they needed. They needed love and support and I was that person to give it to them. In high school, my act of kindness was going back to my middle school to help coach track for the middle schoolers. Those are some of the many things I've done to be kind, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Acts of Kindness are important characteristics of a human being. People can easily change moments in others' lives with simple acts of kindness. About a year ago I experienced something that I never thought I would have to. I had to take my mom to the hospital, where she would have to stay for a week. Going back and forth from the hospital and my house, resulted in not wanting to do anything else. My best friend Andrew took the time and helped me through it by surprising me and cheering me up until my mom came home. If she was in the hospital, he would make sure I was fine. He would always push his problems aside to make sure I was okay. It was the beginning of June, I had just gotten out of school for summer break and I started to work all the time. My mom didn't feel good for the past couple of days and she had told me she believed it was just a cold. As June 12th came around I knew something was wrong when in the early morning around six o'clock, my aunt ran into my room and frantically yelled, "Your mom needs you now!" Anxiousness overcame me because I knew she wasn't feeling the best lately. I ran as fast as I could to my mom's room and saw her in complete distress. I asked her what was wrong and she told me her leg, as I looked down not just her leg, but her foot too was swollen three times the normal size. Looking at her in so much pain she told me, barely above a whisper "I called your brother, he will be here soon." At that moment, she was not going to be stubborn Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. The Four Acts Of Kindness In this video, it is about a normal man living in a big city. While he's walking the streets of the city he does a total of four kind acts of kindness. The first act of kindness was when he was walking on the sideway when a gutter from a building poured out onto him. There was a dead plant next to him on the sidewalk so instead of the water splattering on the sidewalk he placed the dead plant underneath it. That was the first day, the second day he walked by the plant and smiled, the third day the plant was healthy and beautiful, and growing. The second act of kindness he does is helping an older lady who can't get her food cart over a curb. He jogs over to her and picks up her cart to get it over the curb. The third act of kindness is giving money to a homeless little girl and her mom. They are holding a can and in front of the can is a sign that says "for education." The man looks in his wallet and he pulls out money and places it in the can. A man nearby watching shakes his head in disbelief as the man hands the "beggars" money. The fourth act of kindness is giving an old lady bananas, he hangs the bananas on the door knob of her apartment. He knocks and he simply walks away, not being awarded or known for his acts of kindness. Each day the man repeats the acts of kindness helping the people out. He doesn't get richer, or more famous for his actions. The only award he gets is the award of emotions. In the end, ...show more content... This video makes you think of how you want to become a nicer and kinder person. It made me feel like I wanted to go help someone out who is having harder times than me. The video shows three days the guy would help out someone or something each day. After every day, the thing or person would get better and happier, which is shown as a reward. The leap of happiness, in the end, makes you smile at how kind and caring some people are, and how some people are so Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Random Acts Of Kindness Speech Examples Topic: random acts of kindness Specific purpose statement: To motivate my audience to use random acts of kindness. Central idea: Random acts of kindness can brighten someone's day, save lives and change the world. The Attention Step In 2004, Jessica LaGrossa's sister and parents moved from Atlanta to Pittsburgh to pursue treatment for her sister's ongoing battle with a deadly disease. The people around them were friendly and supportive, and the surgeries and recovery went well, but LaGrossa began to worry about her mother, who was growing tired and withdrawn. LaGrossa got her mom interested in making cards and small crafts as a hobby, but because of the expenses of her medical treatment, she didn't have the budget to continue. LaGrossa reached out for help on online message boards, and to her surprise hundreds of people helped out, sending her mom cards and craft supplies.(LaGrossa) In this story, we see an example of a random act of kindness. I have become increasingly interested in random acts of kindness and I've done a lot of research, and learned about how they can impact our lives in positive ways. Random acts of kindness can brighten someone's day, save a life and even change the world. Transition: so what's so helpful about random acts of kindness? II. The Need Step Everywhere in the world, someone out there is having a bad day. So bad that 17.5% of Americans suffer from depression each year. • 7. Random Acts Of Kindness Research Paper Random Acts of Kindness for this Holiday Season Many children are taught that Christmas is when you receive gifts from others, but what they don't find much joy in doing is giving, instead. Whether it costs money or not, it does not matter, it's the thought that counts. Imagine comparing the joy a homeless person would have compared to a child while receiving clothes, the child would probably frown since they were most likely expecting a toy and the homeless person would be overjoyed since they barely have anything. We have to give thanks for what we have, so we may help to serve those of us who have nearly nothing. To help out those in need, or maybe not even those in need, we may do a variety of things, a few examples I thought of could...show more content... Most of the options on my list involve using money, however there are definitely random acts of kindness that you may do without using any money. If you can't afford to give/use money to/for others in need, you may simply give someone a compliment, rake a friend/neighbour's leaves, help someone with their groceries, or even just a simple smile. This Holiday season, I hope to be able to find the time to read a book to a young child at my school. Reading books of their choice would obviously benefit them, since they're having a good relaxing time while listening to someone read a book to them, and it would be free of charge. The children I read to would benefit from this act of kindness, as explained previously, but reading aloud would also be beneficial for me as a student. It would be beneficial for me as well since I would be able to practice my ability of speaking out loud to a small audience, this would help me to improve my public speaking skills as well as how I act around young children (this is necessary since I want to be a pediatrician in the future). In conclusion, giving is so important, not always to benefit you in some way or another, but to help out others who may not Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. With the role models I have, my parents, I was taught a great number of things. One of them was how to be initially kind. In reflection of my life with them, their embodiment of kindness has guided me through my adolescent life and well into my adult life. Everything that I am, I have learned through watching my parents interact through the society around them. In the following section, I will discuss how patience can be considered an act of kindness, as well as omitting the facts to save a loved one's sense of self and reputation and how one woman sacrificed her personal space to make sure those she cared about around her were comfortable. Furthermore, the kindness shown to me through my parent's greetings and goodbyes and a quote from my...show more content... Hamrick, Hamrick supports my father's actions by saying one can be kind through acts of omission. This is exactly what my father did for me in this job mix up. The interpersonal relationship I have with the collective that is my parents has shaped my view on society when I was younger and as an adult. Erving Goffman in his Relations in Public text, spends a whole chapter on that of the territories of self. While proxemics describes personal space to be a marker from .1 to 1.5 ft and social distance to range from 4 to 12 feet, Goffman would say that those areas are not so clearly defined as personal space can be ever changing. I would argue that this personal space can be something much larger, a home. When a person is within their house, everything is theirs. In the case of roommates, some people feel violated just knowing there is something else in the house not living there even if that person was invited over. This possibility of a person feeling this violation grows larger as time passes. Why would someone put themselves in the position to have their personal space violated, in this case personal space being a house? What if the reason this violation is tolerable because it is inferior to the possible act of kindness that it is presenting? This example is why I believe my mother has shown me how to be kind through sacrifice. My mother sacrificed her own personal space, her home, to invite relatives to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. An Act Of Kindness In America Even just the smallest act of kindness can have a great impact on someone's life. Kindness is showing concern for someone without expecting something in return. Jesse Jackson once said, "Never look down on anybody unless you're helping him up." He was a civil rights activist who expressed kindness to a great number of people. In Chicago, his kindness affected many people, but mostly women and African Americans in 1964. He showed kindness by leading many rallies and peaceful protests to accomplish his goal of making sure the rights of Americans were protected. • 10. Does Act Of Kindness Affect The Giver Acts of kindness affect the giver, the receiver, and any onlookers. For example, in the article, "Teaching Kindness" the author states, "This boost in happiness occurs not only in the giver and receiver of kindness, but also in anyone who witnesses it." This shows that whenever a person gives, their own happiness is boosted. The receiver is happier because they are receiving, and anyone who sees the act of kindness becomes happier too. This happens because kindness is contagious; seeing an act of kindness makes the witness want to be kind as well. Furthermore, in my kindness journal I mentioned how I listened to someone tell me about a rough time they were going through. This effects me and the person because whenever I listened to his problems Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Random Act Of Kindness Research Paper Random acts of kindness/ pay it forward. First lets describe what a random act of kindness is. In describing a random act of kindness I would say a random act of kindness is something that you would do without looking for a reward in return. Doing a selfless act and wanting to help someone or Just assist, while putting someone in a better mood better tan the mood that they were in before you did this act. I researched that this act may be coined by Anne Herbert, who written practice random acts of kindness and acts of beauty while she was at a restaurant on a place mat. In describing what I did my random act of kindness was something that society is doing to random people could pay it forward. Pay it forward is more of a third party doing...show more content... This concept should not be done because you feel that you owe; instead it should do because you want to help and assist. It is not repaying a debt, but as some may say you are passing a gift along to others. But that Is the best terminology that I could put my words in at the moment. Such as making a donation without any recognition. After the donation is made just ask or leave a card notifying the person to do the same for someone else who may be in need. And let them know that the deed is called pay it forward there is no timeline or certain amount hat is due. just ask that one day when you can just pay it forward and recognize what you can do to help a person that is in need or by just giving a person a break from time to time. Because you feel it in your heart to do so at that moment and time.Therefor as for me task at hand, I was on my way to my daughters graduation to the second grade and when I arrived to find out that I showed up a little early. So I decided to go have breakfast at a local waffle house. While eating I noticed a table of three. A male a woman and a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Kindness Definition Essay Kindness. Kindness is like the season Autumn. It carries the golden, red, orange, and yellow leaves from one tree to the next, gathering more and more leaves until a whole assortment of leaves is blowing in the breeze. Just like Autumn, Kindness spreads as it is passed on from person to person. Kindness brings joy, happiness, and friendship as it flows from one act to the next like a river splitting into several directions. Kindness brings people together, like the thousands leaves blowing and bunching onto someone's just–raked lawn. Kindness can be demonstrated in a number of forms. At school, in home, around neighborhoods, during after school activities, and anywhere else you can imagine. An act of KIndness does not have to change the world, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. College Admissions Essay: Random Acts Of Kindness Random acts of kindness matter to me. I've been taught since I was little to be nice to everyone. In elementary school, we would get "Random Acts of Kindness" slips if we helped teachers or classmates. There was a raffle at lunch, and whoever won would get the greatly coveted ice cream sandwich from the lunch line. I was so proud when I got one of those small colored slips that validated my act of kindness. One day, my brother and I were standing in a movie theater lobby, fighting over what to get to eat. A person nearby, who we've never met before, overheard our dispute and asked whatfood my brother wanted. My brother, a little taken back, shyly answered, "popcorn". Without giving it much thought, we resumed arguing. By the time we got Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Complete Three Random Acts Of Kindness For this project I chose to complete three random acts of kindness. The first random act of kindness that I completed was done at the University of Saskatchewan campus. One afternoon, I wrote the same message on roughly 10 different flashcards. My plan for this act was to pass out flashcards with kind messages on them and pass them out to students in Murray Library. Attached to the flashcards was two mini chocolate bars. The message read "Good luck studying for midterms! You can do this. I hope this little treat helps you get through our day." The day after I finished writing all the messages and attaching the chocolate bars, I proceeded to walk around Murray Library and pass them out the strangers. I intended to approach individuals who were sitting by themselves because I people who were by themselves would appreciate it more. Individuals who were sitting in group of people may have been distracted by their friends in order to sincerely take in the random act of kindness. Additionally, I did not want to approach groups of people because then I would feel obliged to give every person in that group a flashcard and some chocolate. The reason why I wanted to do this specific act of kindness is because I wanted to do everything in my power to make a stranger happy. During the time of midterm exams students are very stressed out. Students, including myself at times, are constantly worried about their results, the possibility of failure, and how much time one needs Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I will see that they where always working hard and they will come home preatty late. So I kind of took care of home and my two brothers. and sometimes my dad too when he felt really bad, what I mean by bad would be that he had lukimia cancer. My mother work as a babysitter she will go to work mostly of the time at 6am and come back at 10pm and on weekends she would clean houses so she never had time to do chores at home or make dinner. We had to be extra patient because they get mad for any little thing. But Ill still like taking care of my father i love my father verry much it did not bother me helping wat so ever. thirdly I would also help my mom clean house on the weekends so we could finish sooner and get home soon . So she can spend time with us at home and I spend time with my baby too and relax a little . My mom would clean houses on the weekends to make extra money because with my dad sick sometimes he could not work or he will spend a month or two in the hospital . she needed that extra money for when my dad did not work she can pay the house and bills food and all expenses. • 16. Small Act Of Kindness Definition Small acts of kindness can have impacts on others. I was watching a video in my english class and the video showed how hard it is for people in Syria to live. There was a group of people who came and helped the Syrians and got some of them out. That changed the lives of those people. Small acts of kindness can change lives, can encourage others to do good things and make someone feel better. For example someone might be really depressed and what if another person gave them a small smile then maybe that would make them feel better or at least a bit happier. Small acts of kindness are very important to the world. If everyone did something kind once in a while the world would be a better place. Imagine how many good things could come out of a small act of kindness. To begin with, small acts of kindness can change lives. A few days ago I watched a video in my english class the video was about a man named Kevin Richardson. Kevin Richardson used to work at a place where people can come and pet lions up close. When these lions get older the owner sells the lions to a place where these people go and hunt the lions for entertainment. Kevin decided to buy twenty six lions from the place where he worked. That flower made her feel a bit better and maybe that boy who gave her the flower felt better as a person also. If that happened more often the world would be a better place and maybe it would not be as cruel as it is today. Humble deeds of kindness can impact others by putting them in a good mood, encouraging them to pass on the kindness, and boosting their confidence. The first way acts of kindness can impact others is to by putting someone in a good mood. For instance, if someone is getting bullied at school, trying to be their friend may help them. Also, their day might be off to a bad start and by being there for them will maybe improve their feelings . Therefore, if somebody sees someone who is down, be there for them. In the text, "Random Acts Of Kindness Defines Who We Really Are," the author is writing to not only inform the reader about what the around a person who might judge you or say something about you that you don't like. The author makes many diverse quotes that has the same effect as the one above throughout the entire text, these types of quotes gives examples for the quote that was stated early. One example from the text states, "Small acts of kindness like leaving a meal for a homeless person or paying off a stranger's layaway balance at Kmart, start trends with more people getting in on the act because they are such feel–good stories." • 19. An Act of Kindness: A Persuasive Essay An Act of Kindness (Order #A2071175) There is a commercial on television, I forget what for, where one person performs a small act of kindness towards another, followed by that person helping someone else, and so on. The message here is that each act of kindness has a ripple effect throughout society and can effect people who we do not even know exist. There is also a secondary lesson of this commercial: eventually the acts of kindness return to the original person, indicating that kindness can be circular and if we want to live in a society where people do nice things for one another, then it begins and ends with us. This commercial indicates that acts of kindness are a way to improve society and an individual's overall life. With this is mind, I would like to convey an example of how I have been able to do my part in the overall circle of kindness by aiding a stranger who's car battery had died and needed a jump. It began on my way home one day when I was forced to stop for gas. At the gas station I was minding my own business when a stranger approached me and asked if I had a set of jumper cables and if I could give him a jump. As a teenager being approached by a grown man asking for help, thoughts of being kidnapped, tortured and murdered filled my imagination. As he approached, my immediate reaction was to hope he would leave me alone and continue walking, but he did not. Instead he came straight up to me and asked for my help. I wanted to say that I did not have a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. Acts Of Kindness Definition In America, acts of kindness are becoming more rare. In my opinion, kindness is an act of generosity or compassion toward another person. Random acts of kindness are my favorite expressions of kindness because they are unexpected acts of generosity, usually toward a complete stranger. This could be anything from paying for someone's morning coffee to helping someone pick up something they dropped. Seeing the smile on their face is the most rewarding part, along with the feeling of personal satisfaction. In my life, I have seen my fair share of gracious acts. My favorite, and most memorable, personal experience with kindness occurred when I was a senior in high school.
