                                             to Founders Day

John was commissioned Rico as an advisor to the National Guard at El Morro as an officer in the Kansas National Guard after WWII and retired at Castle. In 1969, he retired from the military and was awarded the the rank of major, infantry. John was an original member of the Kansas Combat Infantry Award, the Purple Heart, and the Bronze Star.
