A LOOK INTO THE
FUTURE
YOUR OWN PROGRAMMABLE ROBOT
HOW COOL WOULD IT BE TO HAVE YOUR
OWN ROBOT?
Have you ever thought in creating something that can help you with our chores. Someone
that can make you company when your lonely. Well you might be thinking what can I create, I
already have a brother and sister for that. But can’t siblings be sometimes annoying?
Have you ever thought about a robot? Yes! I said robot. Technology is getting closer
everyday to a cheap way of creating a personal robot.
Lets take a closer look…………….
YOUR OWN PROGRAMMABLE ROBOT
What would we do with technology?

Technology is getting closer to a cheaper and easier way in creating a robot of your own. Can
you imagine a robot that can understand every single word you say, and without a complex
programing from you.
It is said that It will be possible in the future as the field of robotics keep advancing.
ARE THERE ANY ROBOTS RIGHT NOW?

YES! There are already several companies that are producing programmable
robots for individuals, and educational institutions. All we need to do is be
patient, because it is just a matter of time before these robots start
understanding human instructions instead of complex programing languages.
EARLIER ROBOTS
• One of the earliest robots that was made available to consumers was the Roomba from iRobot.

• Basically it consist of an intelligent vacuum cleaner.
• Since then the company has created other robots the wash floors and clean pools. Pretty nice right?

Vacuum Cleaner

Floor Washer

Pool Cleaner
LET ME PRESENT TO YOU ROMO
Your own personal, programmable robot in your old iPhone.

ROMO:
• Phone app
• Convenient
• Small
• Affordable
• FUN!!
Romo is a robot that is easy to use you just download the app, plug the phone into the robotic base and
watch it come to life
IN THE FUTURE
In the future it will not be necessary for someone to use a program or software to be able
to communicate with a robot. Creators will use sophisticated programming to give the robot an
artificial intelligence to be able to understand natural language, which will be embedded into
the robot.
Even though components needed to make robots are getting cheaper it is still a challenge with
the software. Human languages a conversations are still a task for a computer to understand,
but improvements are being done its just a matter of time.
WILL ROBOTS TAKE OVER THE WORLD?
An article in Live Science think that by the year 2100, intelligent robots will over take humans.

Some believe in a utopian future, in which humans can transcend their physical limitations with the aid of
machines. But others think humans will eventually relinquish most of their abilities and gradually become
absorbed into artificial intelligence (AI)-based organisms, much like the energy making machinery in our
own cells (LiveScience).
