The Clustering
Approach to
Agroenterprise
Development
Prior to the accreditation of their farmers group as
cooperative in the Cooperative Development
Authority (CDA), they were linked to a sure market
with a stable price of their products through the
assistance of Nueva Segovia Consortium of
Cooperatives (NSCC), Local Government Units (LGUs)
from the City Government of Vigan, Municipality of
Caoayan and Sinait; who works as the Site Working
Group (SWG) with the help of the Technical Working
Group (TWG) composed by the National Livelihood
Development Corporation (NLDC), Catholic Relief
Services (CRS), and Jollibee Group Foundation (JGF).
With the effective implementation of
the 8-step clustering approach to Agro-
enterprise Development of the Farmer
Entrepreneurship Program (FEP),
farmers from the three selected sites:
Vigan, Caoayan and Sinait became
successful when it comes to marketing
their produce to institutional markets
such as Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC)
and Splash Foods Corporation.
