and has the world's seventh-largest
UNITED economy by nominal GDP.
It was the world's first
KINGDOM industrialised country and the
world's foremost power during the
19th and early 20th centuries.
The UK remains a great
power with leading economic,
cultural, military, scientific and
political influence.
It is a recognised nuclear
weapons state and its military
expenditure ranks fourth in the
world.
3. THE U.K. Apart from the English, the Irish,
the Scottish and the Welsh, the
CULTURE U.K. today is home to many other
ethnic groups like the Indians,
People, Religion Pakistanis, Carribeans, Black
and Languages Africans and Bangladeshis.
A wide range of religions are
practised freely in the UK,
although public holidays in
England are based around the
Christian religion.
Though majority of the people
speak English, over 300 lanuages
are spoken all over the U.K.
including many South-Asian
