2. What we do
We are constantly
driving the change for
a better urban life
www.bable-smartcities.eu
BABLE is an open and interactive platform that provides expert-curated information on
smart city solutions and a unique set of tools for facilitating urban transformation.
We simplify innovation and implementation processes with our platform and its
embedded automated services, and we guide the transition with our advisory services.
No matter your role in the smart city movement, if you share the same drive for
solving urban challenges, we are here to collaborate and find the best ways to
improve urban life together.
3. Our unique
approach
Linking cities and
companies via neutral
solution bundles
Together with a European community of experts, BABLE develops standardized solution
bundles for smart cities and municipalities. They are modular, interoperable and vendor-
neutral.
They help cities to plan, procure, implement and connect digital solutions to existing
systems. At the same time they structure the market and make providers comparable.
To this end, we operate an online platform that contains not only the neutral solution
bundles but also hundreds of successful use cases from cities throughout Europe, which
are linked to a growing database of innovative products and services.
Have a look and register. It is open and free of charge!

11. Investment
package for Smart
Cities (ISC)
Offering innovative
joint procurement and
financing mechanisms
for urban electric
fleets
With the support of The City Finance Lab, a joint initiative of EIT Climate-KIC and
South Pole, BABLE is helping cities to determine the electrification potential of
their fleets and put together a package tailored to their needs:
• E-vehicles and charging stations including installation and maintenance.
• Additional services such as insurance, fleet management, energy
management or user training.
BABLE then coordinates joint procurement, identifies financing partners and
accompanies cities until the contracts are signed. 2020 is our pilot year of this
project.
