For more information on Virtualization Manager visit: http://www.solarwinds.com/virtualization-manager.aspx Watch this webcast: http://www.solarwinds.com/resources/webcasts/hyper-v-vs-vsphere-understanding-the-differences.html Watch this webinar with Scott Lowe, Founder and Managing Consultant at The 1610 Group, and SolarWinds virtualization expert Jonathan Reeve where they discuss “Hyper-V vs. vSphere: Understanding the differences.” The virtualization market is abuzz with talk of different hypervisors – most prominently VMware ESX® versus Microsoft Hyper-V®, who together own over 90% of the market. Small and medium businesses are already moving quickly toward Hyper-V, and a growing number of larger organizations are beginning to put plans in place to transition some portion of their environment from ESX to Hyper-V. In this webcast we explore the reasons for these changes and the ecosystems for these two platforms both now and in the future. We also take a look ahead to what is known about Hyper-V 3.0 and why it warrants an even deeper look when evaluating hypervisors for your future virtualization deployments.

The concept of the software-defined datacenter (SDD) is gaining recognition, as IT moves away from infrastructure traditionally defined by hardware toward a more flexible infrastructure built around software and dynamic allocation of resources. In the SDD, all virtualized storage, server, networking and security resources required by an application can be defined by software and provisioned automatically. Virsto’s VM-centric storage hypervisor is purpose built to deliver software-defined storage: the missing link for storage agility, performance and efficiency to realize more agile IT.

This session will demonstrate that by extending KVM we can deliver none-disruptively the next level of IaaS platform modularization. We will first show instantaneous live migration of VM. Then we will introduce the memory aggregation concept, and finally how to achieve full operational flexibility by dis-aggregating the datacenter resource to its core elements.

Generative AI architecture, at its core, revolves around the concept of machines being able to generate content autonomously, mimicking human-like creativity and decision-making processes. Unlike traditional AI systems that rely on predefined rules and data inputs, generative AI leverages deep learning techniques to produce new, original outputs based on patterns and examples it has learned from vast datasets. This capability opens up a multitude of possibilities across various domains within an enterprise.

How to differentiate Sales Cloud and CPQ on first glance might be tricky if you do not know where to look and what to look at. You will know :-) Managing the sales process within Salesforce is a common use case that can be managed with standart Sales Cloud. If you want to do entire quoting process you will find out Salesforce CPQ solution exists. What is then the difference if both can handle selling products? You will see comparison of 10 different features, which Sales Cloud and Salesforce CPQ handle differently. Simple question you will always remember if you should consider using Salesforce CPQ will be a cherry on top.

As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other? Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

– Vienna | June 2012 Service Processor Manager (SPM) In IBM i 7.1 Service Processor Manager (SPM) is a build in function of IBM i. The SPM functionality has been PTF’ed into IBM i 6.1 Before IBM i 7.1 – In previous releases the customer had the option to either use Service Processor Manager or IBM Director (5722-DR1) for integrated server management connections and power control. Enhancement – IBM Director (5722-DR1) is no longer used for server management connections or power control. This reduces the software requirement for the Integrated Server solution by no longer requiring 5722-DR1 to be installed on the IBM i. NOTE: The newer System x server models require SPM because they use a newer service processor called an imbedded management module (IMM). 41 © 2012 IBM Corporation
