2. Folk costiumes
Folk costiums are typical attive for rural
population from special region. There are
expression of cultural tradition and proud
of our origin.
We can admire it both in the casual as
vastiv.
4. Highland costume
Male costiume consised of trausers made
from sheepwood and adorn coloured
things. Higher part of costium was flaxy
shirt and jacket on arms.
Women wore crease skirts, linens shirts
and velvet corsets. They wore too scarf on
head and bead on neack.
7. Podlasie’s costiume
Podlasie region is cinsidered to be poor, but it
has a lot of natural resources, such
as:wildrness, lakes and rivers.Our ancestors
songs tell us not only about hard work, but
also about poverty, longing for a better life,
youth, love and joy of simple life. Thanks to
the wealth of our folklore and beauty of its
music we realize thta we can’t be ashamed.
We can be proud that we own our folklore
music which is unique and differs as from
other parts of Poland .
8. Podlasie’s costiume
Male podlasie’s costiume was really
charakteristic: long russet, bright shirt
with collar, linens trausers, straw hat and
shoes looked like miner’s slippers. They
have a plaited bag.
Female costiume consisted of: corset;
striped, woolen skirt and apron.
11. Krakow costiume
Women wore patterned, red skirts, tulle
apron, white lace shirt, dark corset, boots
and garland with flowers on head.
Male costiume consists of pants with
stripes, jacket and leather belt. Inherent
element were: hat with peacock feathers
and high boots.
14. Kaszuby’s costume
Man wore boots, shirts bind bands
under neck. Vest weren’t have any
sleeveless.
Women wore wool skirts, T-shirts
with full sleeveless and coloured
headband.
17. Kurpie costiume
Woman wore embroidered shirts, on which
assumed woolen vest. To that dressed
colourfull skirts, which girded aprons.
Male clothes was made of coarse linen.
Colourfull, striped trousers were placed
into boots. They wore too shirts and
sleeveless vest.
21. Kurpie Zielone
The Folk Dance Group „ Kurpie Zielone” has
been performing since 1953. The group
consists of two dancing and singing subgroups
and a folk band.
They present folk dances and tradition from
diffrent regions of Poland, maily from the
Podlasie and Krupie regions. The activity of
the group aims to present traditional and
mogern customs of these parts of Poland.
