Technology exploratory "how to" sheet for office suite assignment

1. To complete final Office project in Publisher:
Margins: View-> Master Page-> (in new toolbox) Layout Guides-> (change your margins)
Header / Footer: View-> Header and Footer-> Show Header/Footer
Add Text Box: Choose from left-hand sidebar, add 2 text boxes
Add Excel chart: Create your chart in Excel
• Excel instruction: Create a list with names & numbers that will be your percentages
and then convert them to a chart using Insert-> Chart. Choose the type of chart you
want, make sure each section is labeled, and then name your chart. Be sure to insert
it into your Excel workbook, then cut & paste it into your newsletter
Shading / Art technique: Be sure to add something artistic to your newsletter; if you choose
a Design set, this would fulfill the Shading /Art technique requirement. IF you started
with a blank publication, you may add pictures or clip art to your newsletter.
EbscoHOST: Go to aea11.k12.ia.us, choose Resources & Research Tools, Choose EBSCO.
Your username is 1Sttheresa & your password is aea11. Search art, a quote, or a type of
clip art to insert into your document. BE SURE TO PUT THE URL UNDER THE
IMAGE, AS YOU WILL HAVE TO CITE IT LATER.
Citing EbscoHOST: Use easybib.com, enter in the URL of your EbscoHOST item, and the site
will fill in your references for you. Be sure you to type in that you found the item
through the search engine Ebsco & the date you took it from the internet.
Saving in 2+ formats: When saving, go to File-> Save As-> and save in any 2 formats of your
choice; easiest would be as a .pub & as a .jpg.
