3. BIOGRAPHY
•
This was Steve Austin's first theatrical release film since 2010's The
Expendables. The film is produced by Adam Sandler's production company
Happy Madison and distributed by Columbia Pictures. The film was released
on July 12, 2013, and was heavily panned by critics

After moving his family back to his hometown to be with his friends
and their kids, Lenny finds out that between old bullies, new bullies, scherzo
bus drivers, drunk cops on skis, and 400 costumed party crashers sometimes
crazy follows you.
4. ENTERTAINMENT
•
Grown Ups 2 opens with Lenny
Feeder (Adam Sandler), the Hollywood
super-agent who has gone back to live in his
rustic hometown, waking up in his tasteful
Mansion to see that a deer has wandered
into his bedroom. The deer then says hello
by urinating in his face. This is the film's
way of letting us know that the comedy is
going to be in-your-face.
•
The first Grown Ups
(2010), which critics unfairly trashed, was
Adam Sandler edging into middle age right
along with his fans, and doing it with an
enjoyably self-deprecating finesse. In its
slapdash way, the picture was Sandler's
autobiographical look at what an infantile
anarchist has to give up becoming a
husband and father.

REVIEW OF
•
The all-star comedy cast from Grown Ups returns (with some
exciting new additions) for more summertime laughs. Lenny (Adam Sandler)
has relocated his family back to the small town where he and his friends grew
up. This time around, the grown-ups are the ones learning lessons from their
kids on a day notoriously full of surprises: the last day of school
6. GROWN UPS 2 REVIEW
•
The original Grown Ups made £104 million worldwide, of which
£7.8 million came from the UK, and now humanity must face the
consequences. In the first film, Sandler played a wildly successful Hollywood
agent, who was reunited with his high school cronies and rediscovered the
simple pleasures of small-town life. Now he has moved back home for
good, although the absurd Mansion, shrieking trophy wife (Salma Hayek) and
gunning, stage-school offspring suggest you can never take the Los Angeles
out of the twerp.
7. GROWN UPS 2 REVIEW PART 3
•
So, what happens in Grown Ups
2? Almost absolutely nothing. Early in the
film, Sandler’s character borrows a school
bus. He picks up his buddies, who are
played by Kevin James, Chris Rock and
David Spade, and they go to the
supermarket. They spend a very long time
in the supermarket, and during this time we
see a lot of the supermarket’s logo. When
they finally leave, James’s character
performs a new style of flatulence he calls
the ‘burps art’ in the car park.
8. GROWN UPS 2 REVIEW PART 4
•
In case you hadn't guessed, this is an Adam Sandler film, and if
nothing else, the movie's themes are announced:
domesticity, ogling, excrement. "When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I
understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, even a
father, I still kept giggling at funerals, poop and fart jokes," so says Lenny
Feeder (Sandler), resuscitating the man-child other filmmakers like the Duplets
Brothers and Judd Paotow have either re-model or left stranded on the beach
as specimens of slackers, prolonged adolescence and what was once called the
Peter Pan Syndrome.
