BSIE Program. The result of this study might be used by the Industrial Engineering program with regards on gender-based differentiation study.
Researchers. The researchers would gain knowledge in gender role analysis.
Future Researchers. The study would benefit future researchers by guiding them in their related studies.
RESEARCH DESIGN The study is a descriptive of research and the researchers used a survey questionnaire to gather data.
The researchers used standard survey questionnaire from Gender and Development (GAD) to gather data.
SOURCES OF DATA. Using the convenience sampling (also known as availability sampling) who are conveniently available to participate in study.
the total number of respondents was 188 police officers, 94 are male officers and the other 94 are female officers.
The study primarily used both descriptive statistical treatment, frequency distribution and percentage distribution. The descriptive statistical treatment that was used includes the measures of central tendency, and the standard deviation. Measures of central tendency such as mean, median and mode were used to describe the gathered data.
Among the 94 male participants, almost 26 percent belonged to age bracket of 24 to 27
and in 94 female participants, almost 28 percent belonged to age bracket of 28 to 31,
23 percent of the male participants were in service for 6 years and one month to 9 years and 34 percent of the female participants were in service for 3 years and 1 month to 6 years.
lastly, the mother or female was more involved in making decision in terms of reproductive, productive, community managing and in the leisure activities based on the results of the frequency distribution.
First, the reproductive activities are primarily/usually done by the mother and sometimes done by the father. Second, productive activities are usually and sometimes done by male police officers. Third, community activities are primarily/usually done and sometimes done by father. Fourth, leisure activities are done by male. Fifth, male has more access and control over in terms of reproductive resources and productive resources. Also, male has more access to benefits but the female has more control to benefits than the male. Lastly, the mother or female was more involved in making decision in terms of reproductive, productive, community managing and in the leisure activities based on the results of the frequency distribution.
Conduct similar study considering other municipality not covered by the study.
The municipal police station should be gender sensitive and must have fair gender treatment considering the reproductive, productive, leisure, community, decision, access and control activities.
There should be an equal and flexible treatment in terms of gender for promotion and self-growth.
