«In his annual Address to the people of Kazakhstan for 2015, the President of the
Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev announced the adoption of the new
economic policy of the country "Nurly Zhol».
The core of the new economic policy will be the infrastructure development plan, which,
above all, is aimed at the construction of transport and logistics highways, which in the
future should adequately meet the needs of the economy and the population in freight
transport and successfully compete in world markets.

2050 Strategy’s target of developing
transit potential and doubling transit
traffic through Kazakhstan by 2020 and

In 2017 14 projects for 638 billion tenge are planned to implement in SEZ "Khorgos - Eastern Gates" by domestic and foreign investors.
On May 15, 2017 in the framework of the Forum of international cooperation of «One Belt – One Road» in Beijing, JSC "NC" KTZ “ has signed an investment agreement with the
corporation COSCO Shipping and Port of Lianyungang on the joint development of SEZ “Khorgos - Eastern Gates”.

36.8 billion tenge - funds of the National Fund
40.5 billion tenge - borrowed funds
July 29, 2015 - the first starting complex (dry port) was put into operation.
October 19, 2016 - the infrastructure facilities of the logistic and industrial zones were put into
operation.
