- 2. HEIGHT AND WEIGHT •Stunted Growth – The lack of height for a child’s age as a result of improper nutrition, recurrence of illness and environmental conditions.
- 3. HEIGHT AND WEIGHT •Underweight- having less body fat than what is optimally healthy
- 4. HEIGHT AND WEIGHT •Overweight – having more body fat than what is optimally healthy
- 5. HEIGHT AND WEIGHT •Obese – A person weighs much more than the healthy range of his/her age, gender and height
- 9. HEARING •Impacted cerumen – Earwax builds up in the ear and blocks the ear canal. Can cause temporary hearing loss and ear pain
- 11. HEARING an infection of the ear canal caused by many types of bacteria and fungi
- 13. VISION•Astigmatism – causes blurred vision. It occurs when the cornea is irregularly shaped or sometimes because the of curvature of the lens inside the eye
- 16. VISION •Myopia – refractive error. The eye does not bend or refract light properly to a single focus to see images clearly
- 18. SKIN HAIR AND NAIL •Dandruff – a condition of the scalp that causes flakes of skin to appear and often accompanied by itching
- 20. SKIN HAIR AND NAIL •Ingrown toenail – occurs when the edges or corners of the toenails grow into the skin next to the nail.
- 22. SPINE DISORDERS •Scoliosis – a sideways curvature of the spine.

- Poor maternal nutrition Poor sanitation leads to lack of appetite and breakout diseases like diarrhea which consequently leads to the stunted growth in children Malnutrition – lack of needed proper nutrients which affects the growth of children Hereditary- a family that shares the same history of delayed growth often continues to produce children who are not sufficiently developed with respect to physical structure Use of illegal drugs by the mother, alcohol, smoking results in under developed children

- A person weighs more than the healthy range of his/ her age, gender and height Most of the time people have too much body fat because the body gets more calories from food and beverages than what it burs through physical activity Extra calories are stored as fat
- Earwax blockage
- Kids who spend a lot of time in water- too much moisture in the ear can irritate and break down the skin in the ear canal letting the bacteria and fungi penetrate But you don’t have to swim to get swimmer’s ear. Anything that causes a break in the skin of the ear canal can lead to an infection. Dry skin, scratching the ear canal, vigorous ear cleaning with cotton swabs or putting foreign things can increase the risk of swimmer’s ear
- Far sightedness Often present at birth After an eye injury Not true: you can get it if you read in low light or sit too close to the TV
- Near sightedness Inhereted
- Due to oily skin, not shampooing often enough, dry skin, sensitivity to some hair products
- The big toe is most likely to get an ingrown toenail Caused by sweaty feet Cutting toenails incorrectly Footwears that places a lot of pressure on the big toes Wearing socks, stockings and shoes that are too tight Toenail injury like kicking a ball repeatedly, dropping something heavy on your toes Improper foot hygiene
- Causes neuromuscular conditions such as cerebral palsy or muscular dystrophy Birth defects affecting the development of the bones of the spine Injuries or infections of the spine
- Cause: obesity- some overweight people lean back wards to improve balance
- Fractures Birth defects (small bones that did not develop properly Cancer and cancer treatments- cancer in the spine can weaken the vertebrae, radiation cancer treatments
