2. Summary of regional magazine
websites.
Through research and analysing regional magazine websites I have been able to find these
codes and conventions which are commonly used;
• Masthead is commonly positioning in the top left hand side of the page, its large and bold.
• Articles are typically in rows and columns of normally two. However if a feature article is in the magazine
this will lie above all the others.
• On the right hand side of the page there may be a subscription section
• Other sites have links on the magazines, this tends to be for social media sites such as twitter, Facebook and
Instagram
• There are very commonly offers for the people that use the online site to collect more audience online.
• Serif titles are used for an easy read however large quantities of text which are grouped together is often
san-serif.
• Many images are spread across pages to break up text and attract the audiences eyes.
