This 3-day tour of Kibale Forest National Park and Lake Nkuruba area in Uganda includes the following activities:
Day 1 involves a transfer to Kibale Forest where visitors will take an evening walk through Bigodi Wetlands to observe wildlife. They will stay overnight at Lake Nkuruba Campsite.
Day 2 consists of chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest followed by a hike to view three crater lakes and the Rwenzori Mountains from the "Top of the World." Visitors return to the campsite for the night.

3 DAYS KIBALE CRATER LAKE AREA EXPLORATION
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale-Evening Bigodi swamp walk
You will be picked by our driver guide and transfer to Kibale National park via Fort
Portal town. You will have calculated stopovers for photography, tea plantation
viewing and lunch en route. Check in at the lodge for relaxation and later in the day
you shall transfer to the Bigodi Wetlands, situated on the eastern edge of the
forest. There you shall take a light walk in the wetlands to observe plenty of wildlife
including birds and many monkey species. Return in the evening for dinner and
overnight at Lake Nkuruba Campsite.
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking & Crater Lakes Top of the world hike visiting
After having breakfast, assemble at the park headquarters for briefing and
then go for the most popular activity in this park which is Chimpanzee
tracking. Chimpanzees are man’s closet cousins though they are one of the
most threatened primate’s species. After lunch, prepare yourself for another
fascinating nature encounter called crater area hike. The top of the World Hike is
a popular activity near Kibale Forest – a three-hour or longer guided walk covering
three crater lakes, villages, tea-plantations and a view from the top of the world
that takes in 3 crater lakes and the RwenzoriMountains with the landscape facing
the park. This hike is three hours in length and is taken with guides who can
explain Village life – the legends of the crater lakes, the tea and vanilla plantations
all along the way. Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight at Lake
Nkuruba Campsite
2. Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala via Mabere ga Nyina Mwiru caves
After having breakfast, check out and embark on an exciting road trip back to
Kampala (Lunch en route) with a stopover at Fort Portal to the Famous Nyakasura
crater area to tour the “Mabere ga Nyina Mwiru caves “ You will later be dropped at
your point of call in the evening.
