Look 2 Learning walks provide
campus data about student learning
so teachers can determine what
that data means to them.
Over time L2L walks lower teacher
apprehension about the
examination and discussion of
instruction.
Traditionally, when we visit classrooms
we stay in the back of the room.
We get to see the teacher—and the
backs of students’ heads. If we stood
behind the teacher, we would still see
the instruction and, more importantly,
student responses to it. We’ve tended
to focus on teaching rather than on
learning.
